Re: Workshop Safety Work Wears

This is my dust mask. Manufactured by AO Safety. Buying decision was mostly influenced by the need to have a lightweight mask that would be comfortable to use and would fit inside a face shield.

Re: Workshop Safety Work Wears

Likewise my painting mask is also by AO Safety. I have no complaints whatsoever with this company's products as these do work well and are very comfortable to wear. However I also have no other products to compare these too.

Re: Workshop Safety Work Wears

This safety gear comes highly recommended at garagejournal.com. It had saved a few a@@ already.

It is ultra light weight but you can feel the strength of the shell just by touching it. The visor is crystal clear.

An excellent investment for protection specially for metal boys.

@jay,

the facefront looks crystal clear from here! i think i saw similar but of mediocre build being sold by handyman, a Lotus brand, yellow color and around 500p.

Looks like it's not the soft type plastic so I hope it holds up. Would probably last longer in a wood shop than a metal shop.

The shell looks like it would really resist impact unlike the softer ones. It's a bit bulky to ship but worth it.

LOL ..... yeah so many tools and so few WIPs. Sad to say but among my two sons only one is interested in these stuff. We actually share the tool budget so thankfully not so very heavy on my own pocket. *Sigh*

V the Ubex is good. Not the flimsy plastic type. Worth it on the next Online run.

Re: Workshop Safety Work Wears

This safety gear comes highly recommended at garagejournal.com. ...

Looks like the Sperian/Uvex and now Honeywell Bionic face shield ... is that the uncoated (S8500) or the anti-fog coated (S8510) version?

I'm wondering whether the uncoated version is good enough for most conditions/situations. (Not necessarily working in a freezer or going in and out of cold rooms.)

Re: Workshop Safety Work Wears

Tough din pero hindi ganun ka tough talaga.

This pair of gloves had reached its height in terms of protection and usefulness for metal working.

Probably wash these up, cut the fingers section in half and transfer to wood working duty.

I'd be trying Miller and Tillman gloves next. There's a lot more to be desired from these Dewalt so I'm not reordering this particular model again.
