Re: Bugel's random projects

Bro bugel, for notching pipes, I use an angle grinder, I tried it with my die grinder, mas matagal at mabilis maubos yung grinding stones.

I suppose using a carbide tip de burring bits will do as well and faster. 😉

Re: Bugel's random projects

I'm a bit confused..may nakita kong grinding stone na naka set lotus yata yun..

Nothing to be confused bro. 1/4" = 6.35mm.

If you're grinder is 1/4" collet then you might get away using 6mm shanks. However if your grinder has 6mm collect then it might be a bit difficult to force a 6.35mm shank.

Other people force it but for me I always prefer to stick with specs unless a modification is called for. After all that's the reason why they had those manufacturer parameters in the first place.

Not all die grinding stones and carbide burrs are made equal. For example the stones that came with your grinder are original Hitachi Japan stones. The grits are finer thus they chew away metal at a slower rate but with finer finish. The run of the mill grinding stones you can easily spot ... because they are consumed faster than the metal being ground or at worst the stone is the one being ground rather than the metal.

Quality carbide burrs are different. These chew metal like hot knife into butter. Available in Single Cut , Double Cut or Diamond style cutting profiles.

Then again the size and profile of the head will be dictated by the job to be pulled. For bigger sized carbide burrs and die grinding stones a variable speed die grinder is necessary. Each carbide burr and stone will have a speed rating and it's best not to exceed their max rpm.

Here are a few good 6mm carbide burrs.

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=sgs+6mm+carbide+burr

There's a bit of a learning curve matching the profiles and sizes to the model number.

Re: Bugel's random projects

Washing machine stand..

Tack weld each corner..

I add extra square tube..para mas matibay..

[IMG][/IMG]

Eto nga pala yung dati kong stand..laging tumatambling tuwing hihilahin ko ang bakal..

Look at this shop built clamp. It looks like an excellent design. When I have chance I will borrow the concept and expand it a bit and build a custom one for my welding table.

Re: Bugel's random projects

Yeah it's an excellent design for your table.

For my table it will need a bit of modification due to clamping issues. It should be able to slide in a bar as I can only clamp on the table edges. Maybe two of those arms on a flat bar long enough to be the same as my table width.

Re: Bugel's random projects

Installing led light in my drill press

Pampatangal inip.. panay ang ulan kaya masarap mag kutingting..
I need to remove the belt cover para maluwag ang pag wiring ng ilaw.

[IMG][/IMG]

I use a puller to remove the pulley..ayaw matangal sa pukpok lang..

[IMG][/IMG]

Then i need to removed the adjustment shaft of motor to lubricate and de rust,
