I really hate welding galvanized tube..
Why? I find it hard to weld and the fumes generated when welding process start..
I do not have respirator that is why i'm experiencing drowning effect everytime
The smoke trapped in my mask..

Bro if you have no respirator, get yourself a small industrial fan and turn it on on the direction towards you when you are applying your welds. It will help a lot blowing the fumes away from your face, whether you are working with ordinary mild steel or galvanized pipes. 😉

See some of my pics posted here and in other projects, I always make sure to turn on my fan during welding sessions. :rolleyes:

Thanks JayL, there was no plan at all in doing this project but it seems I really need them to support my 20 foot GI pipe ladder during the re welding session instead of just being on top of a stool or a light metal table... :p

With regards to the welds I think I will just leave them be, anyway they are all just under the T-Bar. 😉

The results of the cut by an abrasive chop saw.

Burrs, burrs and more sharp burrs !!! Just have to do some grinding on the edges to achieve a smoother edges. Think I'll be adding to my wish list a new chop saw with a carbide tip blade.

If one prefers a bit of exercise then a pipe cutter would be a good tool to use too.

Yes bro JayL, that would work just fine but only for pipes, by the way what is the maximum mouth opening of that type of pipe cutter ?? :confused:

But I am thinking of a multi purpose carbide tip blade chop saw similar to yours probably so it can also be used for angle irons, thick flat bars and square tubings perhaps etc etc.without the problem of the sharp edges and annoying burrs. 😡

I almost missed this bro. Sorry for delayed response.

Rigid Pipe Cutters vary in length and cutting capacities.

Model 1A - 1 1/4" max capacity

Model 2A / 202 - 2" max capacity .

Model 3S - up to 3" max capacity

The ones on my pictures are the 2A, 202 ( same as 2A but with wide rollers ) and the 3S.

This one below is the 1A.

Magaling ka talaga pipili bro. The wide roll 202 will cut the most true 90 degree pipe cuts of the 3 posted cutters in the 2" category.

Thanks bro. I was thinking or considering the 3S model that can take 3" pipes but seldom I work with 3", its the 2" pipes or less that I usually cut for metal projects like pipe trusses or legs for table, pipe ladders, etc etc. Regarding larger diameter pipes, I'll just use the current chopsaw.

That is why the 202 model would just work fine with me. :groupwave: :cool01:
