In my opinion, there is nothing really new about the welder except the new casing. Duty cycle has
gone down to only 35%. Better get the HiTronic Arc 200 with a 60% duty cycle, mas heavy duty pa.

Google Goldpeak Tools and Hardware and look for coolmaxheric ( Heric ), a member of this forum
and managing the hardware store.

I agree with rosy. They probably didn't improve the design, only specified a lower duty cycle to address the high occurrence of breakdowns. Plus cosmetic improvements so they can charge more.

have you bought Hitronic 200A inverter from Gigatools via online?

Googled Tacoma but only found (re)sellers, no reviews or company profile. Any feedback on this welder? BTW I'm Mon, newbie from yesterday.

Between the two, Tacoma or Yamato, better consider Tacoma since it is
60% duty cycle.

But still we don't know where Tacoma is manufactured, can you consider the HiTronic brand, its a heavy duty machine and you can be sure of its quality, manufactured by RILAND Industry, makers of Rilon, Riland and HiTronic welders.

Thanks for your reply. I was considering HiTronic 200A, 8k at Goldpeak but adding the shipping cost to Davao pushed it over my budget. Tacoma didn't have much reputation so I settled with Powerhouse 200A via Lazada. Looking forward to my first welding machine next week and hoping my choice was fine
