First of all what type of Yamato are you using, is it the yellow bulky Yamato or the portable stainless body type of machine ? I also own a Yamato 300 Amp AC machine, its the yellow bulky one and its settings reads from 60amps as the weakest and up to 300amps as the strongest.

I suppose yung readings mo sa iyong Yamato ay # 1 is the weakest and yung # 7 is the strongest. Pwedeng ang readings mo ay 60amps for # 1,
90amps for # 2, 120amps for # 3, 140amps for # 4, 180amps for # 5, 240amps for # 6 at 300amps for # 7. Ang mga settings na nabanggit ko ay similar sa aking Yamato 300 Amp AC machine. Mag test weld ka ng settings na #s 1 and 2 para sa medyo manipis na steel plates tapos mag test weld ka rin ng #s 3 ans 4 settings sa makapal na steel plate o bakal para makilatis mo ang mga pagka kaiba.
