The fit ups of corners are perfectly squared and can easily be welded.

Welded some cross bar support on each corner to secure squareness then tacked each connecting joints : :cool01:

TACK WELDING ON THE CONNECTING JOINTS :

The tacks made between the 1 X 1 and 2 X 2 angle bars.

These tacks were applied between both 2 X 2 angle bars.
Now after doing so, the flip side of the angle bars is now ready to receive a full weld applications.

A very simple tip before applying the full welds on the butt joints which may serve very useful.

Before applying your first weld grind first the edges to make a groove between the butt joint if your angle bar is a bit thick.

Then I find it best to start my first weld in the inner side corner of the angle bar going down right to the edge. Why ?
It prevents me from making a sort of burnt hole curve if I should in any case start my welds from the edge towards the
inner most corner of the angle bar which of course is not nice to look at.

And to continue with the same corner of the angle bars :

Again here I will start my weld on the outside edge of the angle bar joint going towards the middle where I stopped
with my first application, this way you will have nice looking edges inside and outside of your angle bar joints.

AGAIN, TO BE CONTINUED

The grinded joints :

Same joints at different angles.

Second angle joints with different angle views.

I needed to grind the welds since metal fusion has been achieved and need this side to be flashed flat so that the planned
drawer will fit in smoothly and not hitting any unwanted welds.

After the welds have been grinded and polished with a flap disc, its assembly time.

Cut some 6 pcs of this flat bars to be tack welded with the other frame.

And the assembled drawer frame and top rack.

All the joints are simply butt joints and needed to be beveled.

Beveling of connecting butt joints.

Connecting butt joints needed to be beveled before tack welding half way the thickness of the flat bars to maximize
metal fusion instead of just welding on top of the un-beveled metal joints. Mas matibay ang kapit at tunaw ng mga bakal.
This is another good tip to remember for our newbie bakal boyz.:clap1::cool01:

In preparation to full welding of the butt joints.

A simple grinding of the tack weld beads flashed to the metal surface just to achieve a smoother weld passage or application of the full welds.
