Any body here have or experienced this type of welding machine. Supposedly, the amphere is adjustable from 100-700 amps. It was invented by a filipino named Frank M. Andrade . I like to buy one but I would like to know more about it. Thanks for any info.

:welcome: to PHM brixspeed! Where are you from my friend?

Btw, I think what you're referring to is the Increweld machine. Here are some of the PHM replies to that topic...

Re: smallest welding machine in the world.

Yes, I have tried it, it can weld but it is not safe. The unit is just a cover up. It a single wire unit in which you connect it to you mains (live), the ground is the earth itself. You are using straight 220vac. That is why they said its 100 percent duty cycle, no overheating of the unit itself, because is just a cover for the wire, nothing is inside except a conductor from input to output. This is not an Invention but a deception, it could kill you.

Re: smallest welding machine in the world.

@ brixspeed,

I personally find these small welding machines so ridiculous, yes they look cute and wonderful but try to see how their welds will appear and also just imagine its grounding, you'll have to stick a very long metal rod into the ground and connect its grounding on that rod, what if let us say you are on top of a 15th floor building and will be doing repairs welding repairs, where will you stick the grounding wire when every thing up there is made of concrete ? :p 😮

I've seen these kind of welders on youtube, nakaka tuwa lang panoorin, but if I were you I'll get myself a good portable stick welder with no less than 200amps power in it if for personal use, safer pa and will produce good welds and proper penetrations. 🙂 😉

For commercial use, get a 300amps or 500amps welding machine.

Re: smallest welding machine in the world.

I just got one just for kicks. I will be posting my findings here. I will be making a video of what i will be doing. As for Sir/madam Rosy, I think you can ground it to the building's rebar.(I will take note of this too). Sir pualgozon- did you actually open one?

Great. Looking forward to hear more about this. I'm just as curious to know and see how this one would compare to the bigger stick welders.
Inside pics of the machine will be good to see.

This is my first use of the machine. it was too powerfull. I can't control the weld puddle. It just eats up the metal. (or it's just me.) I need a shallower ground. My first impression is WOW. I did not expect it to be this powerful. The videos I've seen barely melts the metal. I am guesing that the deeper your ground(or more wet), the higher the ampherage. I will doing some more test.

@ brixspeed,

Yes bro, please post your findings if possible with pics so we may also be educated about this micro-mini portable welding machine. Welding enthusiasts are also increasing in this community and others might be interested too. THANKS.

I can't seem to control the ampherage of this machine. I tried hammering a round bar 7 feet to the ground but it was not enough. The rebar of a building is too much.(watch video). I will try to experiment with the grounding on different soil elevation. But one I definitely know is that, this is a machine that can be use on thick metals. I will try to make a better video when I can get some help to video me and wait for the rain to stop.

Re: smallest welding machine in the world.

i fell victim to this a few years back, not worth the money and trouble. down right dangerous. blew a couple of fuse trying make this thing work. and yes i agree the casing is just a cover up wire lang talaga siya. if you want to try it just buy a thick gauge copper wire and a rod holder/clamp. but if you love your life just get a decent welder.

Re: smallest welding machine in the world.

I have tried it, but did not try to open it, but if you have knowledge in electricity, you will know nothing special in the small box, the ouput no load voltage is 220v ac, and the grounding you will need is the ground itself, i also did check the waveform coming out of the box, its still 60hz 220v, using an oscilloscope. The small box is sealed by something like epoxy, which would hide the bar.

Re: smallest welding machine in the world.

I believe that I have read some reports about this before. the probable explanation for you results is that because the device is just a thick and expensive wire connected to your mains and cunning enveloped into a tube-ish form to somewhat present a misleading connotation that it is a welding machine. I have found a pic related to something like this which only contains sand inside and nothing else. The sticker probably just a prank to frightens the user from opening to see what's really inside.

Thus you can't control the voltage, ampere and you need to connect to your main's grounding as well.

In short, your are short circuiting your main's in this deadly play. Beware.

Re: smallest welding machine in the world.

What the heck, it's getting smaller and cheaper!

Saw a similar, but smaller one at sulit.com for only 1,500. There's a video in the ad also:
