sir rosy, magkano po avail ninyo ng yamato 300A dc welder at saan po kayo kumuha sir? is it still from miss mimi g? is this still her number 09209329874?, planning to acquire 1, kasi may new project ako, at need ko ng dalawang welding machine, my yamato 200a dc welder from miss mimi g from 2012 is still alive and kicking, hehehe...

sila nuong stock ng 300 amp DC.

current draw ng yamato "at idle" is less than 1 ampere (about 0.1x amps).

kapag nagwewelding na (at 100 ampere setting), jumpy yung reading from 5-10 amperes.

ulitin ko uli next time. try ko piktyuran yung ammeter.

Not just the Yamato welder do fluctuates in ampere readings during welding but other brands too,
even in Mig machines so there is nothing to worry or be concerned about, as long as amperage settings
or voltage are followed properly/correctly during welding applications.

actually sir rosy, hindi ako worried about it. i expected na ganun ang draw nya from the power source. just to check lang if within the limits kumbaga ang kanyang current draw from the branch circuit. nag-allot kasi ako ng dedicated 40 ampere branch para sa kanya sa aking house rewiring project.

btw, what i mean is yung current input not the output. i'll try next time on 3 settings. min, mid and max.

maganda po ba at reliable naman ba ito yamato 200 dc inverter wm? I will be a newbie into this welding craft. and before I buy one, nais ko malaman nang husto ang product. since I will not be welding very much often, pero kapag kailangan, gusto ko yung maaasahan ko na pangmatagalan.

i have bought several units of this welder. 2 went to a metalworks shop. Both units died after 9 months of abuse (they used it for "cutting"). Burned IGBT chips. EY repaired the units by replacing the PCB. Atter the repair the welders were told to go easy on the Yamatos and not use them like a 300-amp AC welder. It has been two years now and still no incident.

The third unit is for occasional DIY use. It hasn't broken down yet after 2+ years.

Honestly speaking, its a good entry level welding machine for DIY projects as long as you strictly follow the stated duty cycle. For occasional use as you have stated will hold up and last you long but I think will not last if its used for industrial applications. My unit has not conked out on me yet, no issues what so ever, ever since I got it from the seller in the summer of 2012 , I strictly follow the duty cycle nor subject it to abuse like using it as a "cutting" machine. Its draw back is its got few IGBT chips compared to the much expensive DC inverter machines in the market like Rilon, HiTronic, Powercraft etc. Maybe that is why its one of the cheapest DC inverter machine.

One thing good of this product is the after sales warranty where in the seller gives priority service to the units purchased by PHM members.
May I suggest you consider also the Yamato 300 amp DC Inverter, mas heavy duty ito compared sa 200 amp DC Inverter, only it will cost you more but I think you won't have any headaches with the 300 amp machine.

Salamat sa mga inputs nyo po guys. I hope, kapag naka-purchase ako, it would meet my expectations. I know it's an inverter type. Kaya hindi problema po siguro direkta sya i-plug sa ordinary convinience outlet (CO)? Or sa main fuse or Switch box pa rin dapat i-tap?

You can simply plug it direct to an ordinary household outlet of 10 amps or 15 amps. :thumbup:
