this is related to the news about 'tanim bala' which i have been reading a lot these last few days ... having traveled a lot as part of my work before, a fellow DIY'er mentioned this technique he uses to secure his luggage/s when he travels ... it's cheap and more foolproof than buying locks for your luggage/s. i have been doing these for so many years now and it has proven to be very effective in detecting if your luggage/s has been compromised 🙂 he he he ...

buy and stock some multi-colored 4" cable ties at home. they are normally sold by the 100's in a box with different colors, the more exotic the colors, the better to use it. i have seen them locally at Robinson's Handyman shop in gensan and they cost around P250 per box (100 pcs).
when traveling, use a travel bag whose side pocket/s, and all it's other openings for that matter can be secured - e.g. it has a double zipper head or it has a way of locking the zipper to one side of the bag using a lock.
when traveling, bring 2 colors (the other one for the return trip) of the cable ties, make sure that each set has more than enough to secure all the openings of your luggage/s and some extra left which you can put in your pocket. it's important that you have some spare cable ties in your pocket so that you can properly explain to the authorities once you notice that your luggage/s has been compromise 🙂 he he he ...
before entering the airport, secure all the openings of your luggage/s with the cable ties - use only one color. this way, no one can open your bag without breaking the cable tie. and if it's broken, then you know someone opened it without your knowledge and you can report it to the authorities or the airline personnel. avoid using a black or white colored cable ties as it's very common. the chances of the perpetrator (e.g. robber) having the same color of cable ties as what your using for that trip is so slim 🙂 he he he ... cheers ...

Boo!

Secure all your luggage before you travel. That is very important to do. I lost my luggage when I was going to www.clubzak.com because my luggage wasn't secured. Don't do the same mistake that I did.
