Bro Rosy,

Nice painting. I like even the smallest details in your painting, indeed it's an "ART"

@av973,

Thanks bro Ariel for the compliment and do say thank you also to your swmbo, hope you enjoyed looking at the paintings !! 🙂

@bryant,

Maraming salamat pre, for enjoying my detailed paintings !! :p

@pyth,

HEHEHEHE, metal sculpting or metal working is just another skill I would love to master too and it will be part of my art in the future. No, no mini art museum here bro, just a small art studio where I work and do my creations. No worries about the hands, I know how to care for them, its the eyes that's bothering me pag na bubugbug sa ka we welding or maybe age is really catching up na, LOL

Anyway bro pyth, thanks a lot for your appreciation of my art. 😉

Re: ARTWORKS by rosy

once in a while i would visit this site even though all of my current posts will be found in the cab ever since i became a member there..

and i stumbled upon your artwork posts.

and these are yes..pieces of some fine artwork with so much detail..i didnt know that the lowly lawanit can be a good medium to add texture? especially on a painting of a wood bark? those baguio pines instantly reminds me of my college days in the summer capital.

when i was still young, it was my dream of becoming an artist...fine arts to be exact...but those dreams vanished into thin air when my parents demanded i take medicine.

after my residency training, there was a chance to enrol in a weekend painting workshop in la salle and it was fun at first doing skteches of still life subjects on charcoals...then we shifted to painting in color..and eventually, my instructor discovered that my colors arent ok..and i told him i am color blind. 😮

@ violaine,

That's good you where able to accidentally stumble upon my artwork post and glad you liked it !! oh did you say you liked them art pieces, I must have been mistaken here.

Well anyway you can always go back to your dream of becoming an artist too, you have already fulfilled your parent's desire, now why not yours naman, its up to you now. If you are color blind, then simply stick to charcoal drawings or paintings, it will not lessen a person from being an artist if he or she sticks or uses only one medium. There are great works of art that have been done with charcoal only and these are large sizes also.

Do remember V that painting or doing charcoal drawings helps relieve stress or tension from work. 😉 🙂 :rolleyes:

@rosy,

of course i like your painting works very very much!

i really dont know how you guys can play with color!

wait till i post my monochromatic works i made when i was a college student...

i have to dig up the dungeon pa.

thanks for posting...

i do not know but i think i told you before that i am a big fan of Tam Austria's paintings.

Godbless.

Re: ARTWORKS by rosy

V, HOW DO WE PLAY WITH COLORS ??

Well I guess we are lucky enough not to be color blinded. We easily recognize different shades of colors around us.

Sige bro I will wait for your monochromatic artworks to be posted plus V, it will also please me to see you doing art again, even though monochromatic or even by using only charcoal on paper Aside from doing woodworks, going back to art will help you relieve tension and relax your mind and muscles, listening to classical music or some mild instrumental renditions while sketching with your charcoal or even an ordinary Monggol or Staedtler pencil will greatly help set the mood.

Most of all hindi sya dusty at maingay compared to wood working or metal working, hehehe

With regards to Tam Austria, no , I don't recall you telling me you're a big fan of his paintings which I am too. He's a friend of mine and he resides now somewhere in Antipolo

Re: ARTWORKS by rosy

I'll just add a few more of my paintings for your enjoyment perhaps. :foryou: 😀

A flower vendor from the market done with acrylic and watercolor on muslin cloth. Also the one I used for my avatar.
So sorry for this pic, medyo madumi na yung old pics in file.

A landscape painting of a gorge up at Kenon road when going up to Baguio. This painting was done in oil and rendered on prepared lawanit panel.
Took me a while also to finish this piece due to the details that I wanted to include and show.

Re: ARTWORKS by rosy

Again another landscape painting done in oil paint on canvas. This is a depiction of a very bucolic Baras landscape.

And another one, also in oil paint on canvas. This painting reminds me of when I was still a kid that we would play near a body of water near Laguna lake in Tanay .

Re: ARTWORKS by rosy

Here is one pastoral landscape done in oil paint on canvas. I love doing this kind of scenic paintings, very quiet and very tranquil.

Another scenic rendition in oil on canvas, quite a large piece though, took me two months to finish.
