I can have 100 sq. meters for my shop space and is free to configure how to get that amount of space. I'm thinking of 4 x 25 meters...
what do you think?

I want the following:
Spray booth
Workshop General
handtool section
a small office space that has space for a small bed :flower2:

the wood storage is outside :diver:

Re: help me set up shop

4 x 25 might be too long and not wide enough, seems 5 x 20 looks better....

Roughly the same size as my garage workshop which is around 115+ square meters. Same shape too which is pahaba.

Do you have all 4 walls? How is the ventilation?

Re: help me set up shop

Yeah 4m looks good but then you gain another section. Why put the office in the end? Is the comfort room somewhere in there? Sofa bed?

I think it is much better with this layout

Office ---->Hand Tools/Power Tools Area -----> WIP/Finished Product Area ------>Spray Booth

Make your office bigger to accommodate PHM Boys during EB.

Re: help me set up shop

I would go with the workflow, hence this sequence:

Office - planning the work
Powertool - roughings
Hand tool - fine work
Assembly - clamping and glue drying, right next to handtool area so you can get the chisels, planes, bastards. etc if fit needs adjustment
Painting

Partitions should be movable to allow easy transport of material across. Spray paint area should have draw curtain to prevent dust, especially on bright finish work. Assembly and spray paint area may be one large common space. I recommend looking into ventilation as well for safety (fumes, combustion...). You also probably would want your office/bedroom far fom the painting area unless you enjoy psychedelic dreams.

All partitions should be removable to allow for EB parties!

Re: help me set up shop

Ding, I think the correct way for me is roughing - fine work/assembly - finishing - drying area - office... that way less dust in the office. fumes on the otherhand gets ventilated outward... there will be ventilation in all partitions. The design I made allows a 2 meter door except the office. I am considering a folding partition or draw curtains if budget won't allow.
still lots in the drawing board...
tool sink
place for DC
CR with shower
air filtration considered
chemical sink

oh and a piece of the front goes to metalwork.... away from wood and office..............

Re: help me set up shop

Is this the same shop space you were eying before ( last year? ) IIRC you mentioned it's near the court?

If it's outright purchase or long term lease then probably semi permanent walling ( wood ) might be a good idea.

You mean the warehouse is not yet built or is being reconfigured? Do you think it's best to have separate entrance if it's in a warehouse? Probably cheaper to configure the shop in house specially if it's mostly wood works. As long as structure is there already.

Bayanihan EB ... free food. 🙂 Dami natin members sa PHM.
