hey Migs, join mo ko ha pag wala kang ginagawa ha, looking for a biscuit cutter soon, thinking Ryobi... 🙂
yes, all mahogany is sourced in Cebu, shipping will be a killer but included in my quotation already. the design Moji is very very simple, a pair of crosses for the legs and flat top... thas it!

Re: midnight club...

I have always worked on my own, getting help from my wife if I needed an extra hand, but this one I don't think I can manage alone, a single slab of mahogany weighs 30kls or more, I will use no less than 7 for the top... you can just imagine the weigh I will be carrying nearing completion. All I would be needing are helpers to carry anyway. I will not allow others to touch on this to prevent accidental damages... well, maybe Moji and if you are willing will allow you too... 🙂
I will be building the table and sled as soon as I land in Manila.... am at the airport now in Cebu...

Re: midnight club...

that is going to be a very heavy table indeed. How do you plan on transporting the table? You might need those transport trucks with a crane!

Re: midnight club...

Will it fit in the elevator? My idea is that Timber lives on a high rise building.

Probably transport it disassembled. Just like Bee did to his project. 🙂

Re: midnight club...

hehehe, I do have access to a delivery truck, the top will be removable from the legs. most of the work will be done at the badminton court since there is no way for it to fit the elevator (rough or completed). the legs could be made here at home though but the top will be both a joy and pain to make.
will draw the sketch-up tonight...
here is what I got, phone pics lang nga...
most are 8 to 10" wide and around 2 1/2 to 3" thick, lengths are 7 and 9 feet...

Re: midnight club...

Daming mahogany! Are you transferring your workbench to the badminton court to work on those or just saw horses?
