wwwwhat????

that is a real dedicated woodworking vacuum sonny!

i never knew bosch really loves us woodworkers hehe.

from the looks and features, your shop vac is way pale by comparison.

when are you going to play with this brute?

congrats!!!

Re: midnight club...

That is correct Doc, the Bosch has a self cleaning mechanism for filters (it has two filters btw, it also has a Power Broaker (their trademark name for the switch) which turns it ON when it senses a powertool is powered. I still have little time to play with it, but it is already in the shop or court for everyone to see. now regarding the noise, it is very quiet in comparison to the shopvac but I do not have a noise meter to check its decibel reading. Come over sa court and check it out when you can...

Re: midnight club...

@ryobi,

the other day, was killing time inside handyman and got to find some lotus circular saw blades, their only stock, a 30 tooth and a 40tooth.

the box is sealed and afraid to open it and examine the carbides.

id be excited when you post your comments regarding these lotus blades..which one did you get by the way? from the photo, it looks as though you got yourself the 30tooth ripsaw...i remember it around 1,200 pisotas?

tia

Re: midnight club...

I'm interested tto find out what made the decision to modify the ts to a 12" one? is it the cut capacity since a sacrificial top is made?
I also hope you made your homework on safety, a 12" saw blade will have a higher speed at the tips and the inertia of a bigger blade can stress the motor beyond its capacity. I believe you are ready to get a replacement ts just in case, but what I wish to impart is the safety aspect of the modification. keep safe always, other than that, the work looks good bro...

Re: midnight club...

I agree with Timber. I hope the motor can withstand the load of a 12" blade. The bigger blade will require higher torque too. Hope to hear updates once the modified TS put into work.
