Re: midnight club...

You guys really like your blind items =)...

It's posted in craigslist... http://manila.craigslist.com.ph/search/tls?query=+ ...I'm not one to haggle but perhaps there's wiggle room in the price... I'd bring some feeler gauges, a (relatively) straight rule, maybe check for runout, if I were to inspect a unisaw- it's all about the condition.

===
Moji, I'm really deep into restoring it. Dunno why, but i'm really loving what i'm doing, like the proverbial fish to water. Taking it slow, double checking the manual, and net research just to be sure still... still concerned about a possiblly obsolete bearing, will know on saturday.

A fork engages the high-low clutch. Hope Jayl chimes in where he gets permatex gasket maker or opinion on rtv silicone as gasket on oil pans.

Hauled some iron for mobile base. Realized that I hauled too much when i got back ^_^.

Re: midnight club...

These are the stuff mostly used in the workshop. Purchased I believe by my son from auto spare parts shops or maybe even from malls.

Are you making a custom cut out gasket too?

Re: midnight club...

here you go Doc, the Mono blocks are ASL (Antique Sound Labs) AV-20 which uses 6L6 tubes, beefed up and upgraded all the parts that can be upgraded...

the Pre-amp section is locally made by a well respected tube and electronics guy in the other site... maodel: Baby-T

the tuner is a NAD Tuner 412 and the CDP is a Rotel RA-06. the speaks are B&W CDM1's and everything just installed today to replace the SS amp.

if you have no place for your records anymore, I wouldn't mind helping you clear some space... hehehehe

Re: midnight club...

Timb - hope your'e all well now.

A lot of people still do like or dig tubes. I sold some of my Marshall and Fender Tube guitar amps past few months and got good return on the money I invested sometime during the 90's (when I purchased the amps).

Same with musicians. Guitar players go crazy with vintage tube amps specially branded ones and still British or US Made.

include me there jay...I believe marshall amps in commercial stores nowadyas are all made in India...

i never knew that i stumbled upon some music enthusiasts here at PHM hehe...

great!

@timber,

real mono mono ha!

rotel's really havent changed their color packaging much like the NAD's...but NAD's can be spotted from a hundred yards because of their chassis color.

Ah so it's Rock and Roll .....

I've sold all our guitar tube amps except for these Hybrids now that are on ads too.

We've got loads of band musical gears on sale. My Hobbies and Interest have changed already as well as those of my son and daughter who are really the ones into music. It was decided to keep a few guitars only and the piano.

Some more on ads

Re: midnight club...

those are great valvestates...;)

like i said, i either sold or gave away all of my music stuff a long time ago but i am keeping an acoustic round back guitar made by Morris...a vintage one and attached to it is a great sentimental value.stored this one in my dungeon for unknown years and even though the sleeve is packed with tons of dessicants, the strings have corroded. Now with fresh D addario, tuned and ready.;)

i only play in my dreams nowadays lol.
i know there are many great rock and roll guitarists out there more than jimmy page but like the style of jimmy and no more else (70's wise).

i dig very much U2's the Edge...but would actually like to play the drums in between as well..sometimes dreaming of hitting a DW with remo drumheads and some nice sounding turkish cymbals.

in reality though nowadays, i wanted to learn how to grow tomatoes!

so many things to do and so little time.

anyway, are those marshalls available still? i remember I havent picked up the wood clamps though..pm me the best price for the amps and maybe i could give them to my bro as bday present.

tia
