Re: midnight club...

I don't have a turntable, my wife made me promise her that I will not buy records.

Naku ganito rin yung mga nabasa kong sinabi ng mga mararaming vinyl libraries sa kabilang site:D

Honestly, I also intrigued but somewhat hesitant as I usually have no control of my wallet when I get engrossed on something. As the vinyls are merely the ticket for more tubes, phono pre-amps, turntables and more vinyls!

Parang sa malls, when you're offered a taste test at nasarapan, patay na!

Original parts is better but cost 3-4x also. I just buy replacement ( usually last ~2 years) but I don't spend for installation labor so ok lang to replace whenever necessary na lang.

Regarding body shops I don't know any that I could vouch for now. We knew a good one before in QC area (where we bring our cars) but closed down na. Owner decided to change business already.

Re: midnight club...

^sir Jay, most of my friends from mazdatech.org says that in normal idle, the vibration should not be felt on the steering wheel. I'm not sure if that was a bit exagerated but on my case, I could see some vibration on the steering wheel. They say, it's most probably the front support but when I get to look at it, it looks intact naman 🙁

Also, do you have any idea when a sudden "tok" sound is produced when I'm turning hard to the right on an inclined road? Hope, it's not CV 🙁

yep, yun nga, mga taong wiredstate din mga un.

ung isang shop na nagbebenta ng vinyl sa malapit medyo mahal, pero maganda naman talaga collection nya.

i got some vinyl before from this store in shaw blvd, 2nd floor, bldg of pure gold. di ganun ka hard core mga title but sometimes you can chance up on some good ones. got some of my classical collection there.

Jarod, I did miss you today at the court, sayang kukulamin pa naman kita 😀 sa tools... sarap kasi kumain eh... 😉
Don't worry about vinyls, though I have heard and appreciate them is not something I really intend of getting into... unless someone starts me up with a small collection :D... that way kasi, swmbo will have no say since they came as gifts and not as purchase (which she hates )

Hopefully not Jay as it would be expensive as well. Maybe I could check upon the rubber boots as I just recalled, then from then hopefully I might see some ideas. Sana malapit lang yung Autospeed dito 😉

Haha! I wasn't able to play din kagabi as im still recovering from flu. Naku, madami nanaman sigurong new items sa arsenal nyan.

Honestly, this is the time when I dread it somehow. We know for a fact that you are passionate in what you do and I get a hunch na once you got your analog "spring board" kit, malamang pati ako baka mahawa.

You see, for the longest time I have also been planning to resurrect my mom's stereo/turntable combo. I have also inquired through forums and the sad part is, the said TT components is not as available as most hing end TTs. Aside from scarcity of parts, I wanna cry when I saw the innards of the table itself. Not to mention, the setup is the TT on a big cabinet unlike the pricier modular ones. Yes we do have vinyls, but they are not the master grade ones and mostly are just philippine pressed version. Worst, unless you like Pilita Corales and Philippine Marching band songs, then I could lend you some vinyls :p

Re: midnight club...

@ Jarod these are the engine supports I replaced. Very easy lang and pang DIY talaga.

First Jack Stand the card front.

See the jack here. I kept it there for added safety.

Rear Support

Front Support

Just loosen the bolts and drop the center beam to access and replace the supports.

Re: midnight club...

These are the tools that got used. 17mm and 14mm sockets and wrench. The air impact tool made everything easy and quick. The drift punch was used to align the holes. The screw drivers to dismantled a portion of the engine mud guards to gain access to the front support.

The parts replaced.

Zafra charges 650 pesos and other shops maybe around 300-400 pesos to pull the job. However it's too easy to do and at least I enjoy working with the car so I just DIYed it.

Re: midnight club...

^Hmmm...your engine supports still look intact and mine also looks the same. So does it mean that these items could not be judged visually as these are still ok from the looks of it.
