Re: midnight club...

These looks ok when out but when installed the weight and movement of the engine will put pressure. More often than not my gauge is engine vibration rather than parts appearance alone. Although there are only minimal cracks here medyo "lundo" na rin mga to.

After installation abnormal vibrations were suppressed.

Next naman to do for my ride are engine oil change, tuneup and power wash.

Re: midnight club...

@ Jarod these are the engine supports I replaced. Very easy lang and pang DIY talaga

eh paanong hindi dadali yan, eh masmarami ka pang tools kaysa sa Zafra... and you know how to use them... most automotive or even woodwork is not really difficult...

if you have the right tools... :p, without them it is very hard... promise 😀

Re: midnight club...

True. Good tools make jobs easier.

Lots of US branded bargain tools in the US market if one knows how to search online. Basic auto servicing can be done with say a set of this 3/8 drive shallow and deep socket set.

http://www.amazon.com/Danaher-Group-80559-Metric-Socket/dp/B000V5EGC2/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=hi&qid=1288191309&sr=8-7

Gearwrench is a good US brand by Danaher Tool Group and easily available at amazon.com. Tools are made in Taiwan / China but quality is excellent. I have more expensive sets but I reckon that the Gearwrench line offers the best bang for the buck.

http://www.gearwrench.com/

or if you want another good brand try this

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002O18Z8C/ref=ord_cart_shr?ie=UTF8&m=A1G7UTDO1VZW46

Preventive approach is the key in auto maintenance. If I don't replace the lower engine support on time ( waited till sira na talaga) then my upper 2 engine support will go down prematurely. More expensive to replace. 🙂

a Taiwanese customer of mine is leaving for the US/ I try to make it a point I play with them (badminton), well today he came and asked if I wanted to buy this...

but with a price still undecided, he said he will give it at a very good price... I deposited and wait for the reasonable price...

Re: midnight club...

Metric or English and what accuracy?

How much is a new one? Probably 25% of new is a good price.

Re: midnight club...

metric Jay. 0.01mm accuracy... iirc, this sells no less than 6K... I hope to get it 1/3 that price... barely used and all papers complete.

Re: midnight club...

Yeah 15-30% of new is the ongoing rate in the US market for used tools. Depending on how mint and useful can go up to 50%.

Good buy.

Nice to have modern day electronic pen pals..

Mabuhay po tayong lahat.. Keeping the trades alive for future generations. sana lang mga anak natin magkahilig din sa mga trades instead of button-pushing lang...

Ang hirap trying to entice something which wala talaga sa dugo nila..
must be from the mother side...hehehe..

Just wondering... now that I touched on the topic.. Parang wala atang outstanding na active member from the opposite gender dito noh??

Baka nga naman aswangin...lol ...;)

happens even to me after a huge project. Just make sure you have reason to enjoy the craft and you'll find the energy to go back to it.
the PhilConstruct activity should start you up...

Hmmm I thought it was only me. I haven't really touched my shop since 3 months ago except for the usual tour of inspection.

However new tools always makes a difference. You feel like doing something just to use it ..... 🙂
