Re: midnight club...

I got feedback about the Bosch TS
GTS 10 Prof. - Table saw SRP PhP 43,800
seems like a decent price, I looked the saw online and it is 220V and works as well as the 4100 which is 110V.
Golden wanted to know if people would rather get a 220V or 110V since a transformer is needed for it.
from what I have seen, the 4100 is ahead only with the riving knife, build is basically the same though...

Re: midnight club...

How big a difference would the saw be without the riving knife?

Re: midnight club...

I have never used a table saw before, what is the role of the riving knife anyway?

Re: midnight club...

what I think is the biggest advantage of a riving knife compared to a splitter is during dado or non thru cuts, otherwise they work the same way...

Re: midnight club...

i see, but if routers get to do the bulk of dadoes then i guess its fine to get one without the riving knife...hehe gotta start saving up!

Re: midnight club...

btw, the 4100 has a safety fork as well... haven't used it for a while since I shift from thru to non thru cuts often...

Re: midnight club...

in fact here is the letter from Golden with the suggested prices...
Good day Sir,

Below are the prices of the following Bosch saw and workbench (please give us feedback from the members):

GTS 10 Prof. - Table saw SRP PhP 43,800
GTA 3700 Prof. - Work bench SRP PhP 24,000
GTA 2500 W Prof. - Transport and work bench SRP 31,200
GTA 60 W Prof. - Transport and work bench SRP 18,900

As for the USA specification of the table saw 4100, the business unit might not bring it here in the Phil., because its voltage requirement is 110.
But please let us know if its really one of the table saw that the DIY group is trying to acquire, then we will ask our Brand Manager to help us get the best price for the group.

Thanks and best regards,
BeQIK
