come saturday afternoon, may naramdaman na akong pamamanhid sa aking hinliliit (pinkie?) at palasingsingan (ring). pinahilot ko kahapon mejo nagimprove naman condition. sabi ng suki kong hilot e wag ko daw hilain. dapat icompress/massage ko lang yung joint ng finger. tsaka hot water therapy. with regards to my daily activity, hot water therapy is not that available all the time.

any thoughts? experience? salamat

Re: Numbness/Tingling sensation on fingers

onga pala...left side ang involved.

at most of the time, majority of my sleeping position is curled on my left side aside from "nakadapa".

further reading led me to this: cubital tunnel syndrome which involves the problematic fingers mentioned.

Try taking vitamin b complex like neurobion. Baka minor nerve irritation lang yan.

Hindi ako doktor heheh

Re: Numbness/Tingling sensation on fingers

the doc advised me to use ergonomically designed tools...as long as hindi aabot ng 8 hrs a day ang gamit sa powertools okay lang. use of leather gloves when welding, etc. etc. the usual recommendation. e hindi naman ako on a daily basis na gumagamit ng power tools, welding, etc.

after the 30 day vitamin B take-up period e MRI na daw kung andun pa rin pakiramdam....hoping no needles, knives, blood, etc. na susunod after that scan. takot ako sa mga yun..hihihi

Re: Numbness/Tingling sensation on fingers

hi miked,

sorry yung resident doctor mo, nag sabbatical leave..hehehe

i hope the hand is feeling better now and the numbness is gone.

nagtataka din ako after you hit the area in between the thumb and index fnger, the numbness developed at the 5th finger...

there are two nerves going to the hand and they come off from a parent nerve at the funny bone...the ulnar nerve goes to innervate the thumb, index and half of the middle finger while the radial nerve innervate the rest.

how old are you btw?

ok il try to visit the site more often.

do not patronize me btw as i have my own pains and numbness elsewhere in my body and i am NOT compliant with my own rehab threatments..haha

be safe

Re: Numbness/Tingling sensation on fingers

^hello doc v!

proud to say that i'm only 21 years old............one decade ago.:p

get well soon too doc v! salamat ng marami.....
