Armand, they carry both Bosch and Skil powertools, in fact they are the cheapest I know. I suggest you call them bec they stock these items sa Araneta branch. Tell them you will be with us on Dec 10 and would like the item available for you....

Timb I was there yesterday the moment they opened their first padlock. i bought the Showa drill press that you recommended and Edward gave further discount but no freebies he he..I asked him if they have the Skil router but he said bosch lang ang nasa kanila. Too lazy na to go to Araneta grabe traffic dun because of the tunnel constructions.

BTW: because of the holiday season traffic in reina regente is a nigthmare so damay na lahat ng peripheral roads, when i went back from 168 to get my car it took me almost an hour to reach Panda again.

Panda (my favorite store) is offering a 10% discount on almost everything in their store for PHM members only from Dec. 1 to the 31, 2011.
This applies to the Binondo branch at this time

Hmmm, Bosch GCM 10 S sliding miter saw, anyone? I wonder if included.

But what's the story with the arbor/bore size on that saw (and the Skil for that matter -- I think someone asked about this in another thread). Already asked the Bosch reps who presented here in the province recently, but they did not know and haven't heard back from them yet.

If it is really 30 mm as the link above seems to say, that is bad news. 🙁 (Less-bad news would be ... 30 mm but there is enough metal on the bushing to cut it down to 5/8" as with Bosch circular saw. Good news would be ... 5/8" with ring adapter for 1" or larger, as with Makita LS1040 and I assume LS1013?)

Guad, I do have that SCMS coming soon. If you can wait I will make an initial review and give feedback here. As far as I know one of the biggest advantage it has is the tubed that hold the motor assy is 1 1/4" thick, thicker than most which is a reason for its strength and stability.

was there yesterday around 230 PM ,

finally met Sir Edward , and yes he gave the discount as what Sir Timber (thanx sir Timebr) said 🙂 ,together with my SWMBO .

was able to get some basic tools lang , ; a Kapro level , Combi Square , a 1 ton vise, a Groz Jack Plane , some cheapo combi wrenches hehehe pang minor repairs naman , a pair of Gator clamps and a router bit hmmmm hehehe mahirap pag andun ,parang mauubusan ka buti na lang andyan si Budget Minister hehehehe

sir Edward mentioned nga na Sir Armand was there early morning ansd got the DP .

OK, looking forward to it. From the manual, it looks like there is a part (called 'tool spindle' now, just to confuse you) similar to the GKS 190 bushing, but I'd hate to have to cut that thing again.

With Skil and Bosch saws both available, I'd be tempted to compare slop and runout with a dial indicator, to see whether the ~14K price difference is going into something measurable...

With more choices for sliding saws now, I wonder whether Makita will come down in price...
