Thanks bro JayL for opening this thread. Suggestion lang po, though this thread is still very very fresh, can you make it already sticky in a sense para if ever na matabunan sya ng ibang topics na latest thread, at least we can immediately find it on the top list in the GAZEBO and shoot our questions or suggestions or some chat inquiry. :p

Is this possible ?? I have a feeling we won't have a regular chat box for a long long time, and contributions of some PHM members did not reach the target amount, sad to say. 🙁

JOEY, I personally think that Dremel CKDR-01 is a fine piece of a tool, and looking at the other images offered really made it more appealing though price is quite steep. I do believe all Dremels are 120 volts, sometimes that is what turns me off with tools purchased from the states.

But if you are talking of quality, Dremel has it, no doubt about it. Bakit bro, are you considering of purchasing one ????

Madami palang kulang na accessories. I think I'll pass.

The tools being 120V only is a temporary inconvenience, bro rosy. One time ka lang naman bibili ng transformer. But you have to properly label the plugs so you don't accidentally connect them to 220V.

My main interest is the rotary tool. The reviews of the two other tools in the kit aren't so good. And the trio kit doesn't come with a plastic storage box, only a "bag".

I'll just buy the rotary tool by itself. The one we have in the office is a Dremel 3000 kit. I think I'll get the same model.

How about the Dremel 4000? Looks like it's got better specs. If only I don't have a lot of Dremel add ons then I will buy this one below and upgrade the kit from there on.

Is there such a special drill bits for stainless steel ?? 'Coz I haven't been successful in drilling a hole on a 1.0mm or 1.5mm thick wall of a stainless tubing for my current project. I am only using a handheld drill. I have already made a pilot mark/hole on the surface but when drilling with about 1/4 size drill bit, dumudulas lang ang tip ng drill bit kahit mga bago at hindi kumakain ng bakal.

Do i need to apply more pressure on the drill to be successful in drilling that small hole, really its very different when it comes to ms steel pipes and plates.

If it was me I'd prefer Cobalt Drill Bits with 135 deg split points if using a hand drill. I'd drill slow at start up and use coolant or oil.

I'd also look for mechanics length ( shorter than jobber length ) if available.
