A lot of weird postings recently. Are they bots? It didn't take a full day for them to resurface. How can we improve on the site's security or at least the membership screening? Grabe talaga, sunod sunod na eh.:eek::confused:

Well bro WillyF, Admins and mods are trying its best to be watchful of these spambots frequenting the boards lately, we will just be deleting or banning these annoying post and posters. Just deleted four more early this morning when I checked the index board but rest assure we are watchful.

Perhaps I will consult with the site owner and discuss a possible security measures. :rolleyes:

It SEEMS THEY ARE REALLY SPAMBOTS, USING THE SAME NAME ONLY WITH DIFFERENT ENTRY NUMBERS at the end of each username.

Watch out for the three spambot names listed right now, gumagawa sila ng bagong posts sa different existing threads now, be ready to delete and ban these usernames !!!

Thanks for the heads up. Acutally these pesky spambots are the bane of forums and online communities worldwide.

Anyway, I will be implementing a spambot crusher script and am just looking for the ebst one.

Anyway, for the meantime, i have banned all members with emails that include the following:

@yahoo.com.vn
@mymailsystem.co.cc
@daricadishastanesi.com
@go2.pl
@kore-tv.com
@Hobos.biz

from registering and posting in the forums.

This is one of the bots/spammers that have been plaguing the site recently. The moderators/admins are deleting their posts as soon as we seen them.

BTW, I moved your post here to keep the other thread clean.

So we got again some 4 or 5 intrusions from spambots recently, just saw them at PHM FB page a while back. Good its been deleted immediately guys, sure did made our board clean and in order.

Mga bros, admins and mods, it seems we are having some dose again of these weird spambot names and are again posting freely, I thought we were able to control them weeks ago but................. well let's again be watchful of these and delete them immediately to keep our boards clean and in order. :jazzysax:

Since you are new here, I think you will have to accumulate some 150 plus or so of posts before you can access the classified, so that means you have to participate more often in the forums.

If you addressed your email to pinoyhandyman( siteowner ), I guess you just have to wait for his reply, he is a kinda busy person as well.

Hi bro JayL, it seems we are getting new members interested in metalworking/welding, I think it was a good move we included some sub forums under the Metalworking Forum, it has become easier for them interested members where they will somehow include or position themselves properly with regards to their skills or skills they want to learn.

I am happy with this current development and I am sure you are as well. Let's hope we get to have more members joining in and participating in the future. 😉 :cheerleader: 😀
