My latest project, a jig for making sanding belts in 10 mm and 20 mm sizes for my pneumatic belt sanders.....

hi jay, now i use cyanoacrylate, before i used rubber cement (rugby, do all, bosny urethane glue) it just takes longer since i have to wait a day for it to fully cure compared to cyano which takes just a minute for the belt to be ready for use. its not just the type of glue but the process to make sure the glue sticks to the abrasive cloth thats important, before i've tried every glue available from epoxies, urethanes, tapes, gorilla glue/epoxy, the belt didn't last, the cloth has to be very clean for the glue to stick and pressure applied during curing to ensure a good bond......

nice welder bro. Can the Miller synchrowave do AC tig? i'm new to welding and do not know the difference between lift tig and ac tig. I just purchased a Rilon 200G capable of multiprocess pero lift tig lang daw. The machine is not with me yet.

Lift tig is starting an arc by tapping on the weld material to start an arc. It's the same with old solid state arc welders where you attach a tig torch then scratch it to start an arc. back then they call it scratch type tig, today they do the same attach a tig torch to an MMA inverter then tap to start an arc, then they call it lift tig 😀

Your machine could be just mig + mma with an added tig torch. A full multiprocess machine has different controls for each process. it may not have AC (if its inverter,you need large transformers to do that) but it must have at least hf and control of arc at-least to say its a true multiprocess machine.

Thanks for all the info bro Jan Mike! Latest info on my welder is that I was not able to get the Rilon but got a Hitronic 250J instead. its got a separate wire feeder. I already bought an Arcoweld gas from Pasay courtesy of Sir JayL (Ive been reading his posts). Now the only thing lacking is the training on how to use it. I am currently immobile (due to knee surgery) so not much activity for me. Is there someone I can contact to provide trianing on how to mig weld? This is for my welder and two other people who wants to learn. enrolling them in Meralco Foundation would be too costly. I'm looking at a half-day to 1 day course just some intro and a few hrs of actual welding. If you know anyone please message me. Location is in San Juan, Metro Manila.

you want to be done, the aluminum skid project. See if he will be willing and have time for the job.
He is the only one I know as a member of this forum who does alum. welding. 😉
