Newbie here, I just bought a new Hitronic 250 AC/DC welder.

What other things should I buy to start practicing tig welding? I am guessing I a tank of gas and gauges and filler rods. I am from las pinas and I do not know where to buy those. Can you recommend some stores that sell them.

I already have a welding helmet and gloves so what else do I need?

what types of filler rods should I buy If I am going to weld steel and aluminum?

I am planning to build something like the attached image

Yes you need a tank of argon gas, a good gas gauge and possibly assorted filler rods of different sizes, 1.6, 2.4, and 3.2.

You will definitely need too some pcs of tungsten electrodes, 2% thoriated 1/16" and 3/32".
Also check OLX for some " Tig Finger ".

Check out Korweld Inc., 2345 Sergio Osmena Highway, San Andres, Manila.......cp# 0955-689-0531

Hope this helps :banana1:

I finally have some electrodes from Korweld. I tried welding for the first time on a 1-2mm width of steel using 1.6 tungsten and 1.6 filler and the puddle looks so tiny than the videos I am watching. How much amp should I use for a 1-2mm steel?
