Power tools: Makita or Bosch
Tools: Creston or Stanley (May 'Raon' din mura talaga)

There are lots of cheap and affordable power tools in the market, yes they are cheap and very affordable but.....
they will not last long and would easily break down. So why settle with these cheapos unknown brands, better
choose or go for the well know brands, they may be a bit pricy but for sure you'll know its a durable and quality
tool and will last long. They have sales service centers and gives warranty on their tools.

Go for Bosch, DeWalt and Makita, or the DIY brother tools of these three namely SKIL, Black&Decker and Maktec.

If you look in any forum - woodworking, car repair, welding, etc., you will read the oft-repeated remark "you deserve what you pay for". There is truth to that. Yet, I think there are brands out there that are good middle-ground brands. I have respectable branded tools like Bosch, Makita, Craftsman and Milwaukee that give best bang for the buck. However, for modestly priced starters, I recommend Ryobi. I have quite a few tools from Ryobi and I have no complaints. In fact, if you watch DIY shows on TV, you will spot those green (and earlier blue versions) of Ryobi being used by their crew. Note however that if you buy cordless tools and your batteries finally die, you have to pay more than the cost of bare tool.

I prefer Bosch Power Tool mas mura kasi kesa sa Makita, mas ok pa review sa Amazon...Don't buy a chiwanese power tools it won't long last.....:crash:

Go for Bosch, Makita, skill, dewalt. Roybi and Ozito are good for moderate use, however, if they break down parts are not readily available. I have Ryobi sander, Ozito belt sander and rep saw, all junk now. For woodworking I prefer handtools tested for decades.

the very first power tool i ever bought was a John Benzen drill. it developed a bearing problem after less than a year. it worked fine in hammer mode but in non-hammer mode a certain metal part wasn't properly hardened in the factory so the ball bearing just ate away at the soft metal. it was a relatively easy fix and it still works to this day.

my drill press is a KYK. was on a buy one take one promo. had to replace a belt once. worked flawlessly for about 20 years now

KCT brand: a drill, angle grinder, and jigsaw. the jigsaw had a cheap cast part that holds the blade. it cracked. but an easy fix. all three tools still work.

JCK brand: rotary tool like a dremel. flawless

joust max brand: heat gun, bench grinder, 12v cordless drill. all three working great

cigweld: mig welder. works great

but i don't abuse my tools. so YMMV. would i buy more cheapo tools? definitely 🙂 in fact i'm thinking of buying an 18v cordless hammer drill

sir you can try secondhand tools, all my powertools are secondhand different brands but they all have the same color , most of them i got really cheap around 1k to 1.5k, like the small black&decker drill for only 400php

granted they are priced low because these are really old vintage tools from the 1950's to 70's, but tools during this time period were overbuilt compaired to todays standards "they don't make them like they used to", reconditioned with new brushes ,grease and they probably last another 50 or more years

my most used tools for diy is the rockwell pistol grip drill, stanley 6 1/2 circular saw , black & decker sander, stanley router

most abused tool are the two makita 8416 hammer drills , borrowed by trabahadors and neighbors

sir sa sulit/ayosdito/olx, garage sales , nag-aabang lang ako mura

yung mga hindi pa restored/polished para mura, kadalasan mga namana nila sa parents nila na nakatambak lang sa bodega nila akala nila basura na kasi stockup at oxidated/rusted na yung metal body/case,

masaya din malaman yung history nung tool at kung bakit nila binibenta, katulad nung

1k ko nabili stanley circular saw , sabi nung seller nabili nya daw nung 60's nung nag saudi sya pero bihira nagamit na stock sa bodega nya since 80's,

1.3k ko nabili black decker circular saw, nakita lang daw nya sa bodega nang lolo nya na wala na

1k ko nabili makita 8416 hammer drill (sira chuck), galing sa nag sarang contructtion company nag tatay nya

1k ko nabili hitachi bul-sh3 drill, galing sa uncle nya na natakot na gamitin dahil malakas daw sparks at umiinit ( pinalitan ko lang brush at grease ayun pino na takbo), ito yung pinaka una kong nabili na powertool

500php na black decker sander, naglilinis na sila tambak bodega sa bahay muntik na itapon kasi mukha na daw basura

may nabili pa ako 1.6k lang brandnew with box/warranty card na 1960's black & decker d720 drill, galing sa isang german na may pinay wife, unused pa daw simula nung mabili nya nung 60's

madami pa ibang stories na nakakatuwa

wow na wow sir!ayos yan, parang collector ka na rin ng mga antigong powertools!salamat sa tip sir! madami na din ako nabili sa sulit/olx na mga powertools mga second hand pero di naman gaya nyan hehehe...tibay ng kaha ng mga yan!

(Sorry for the O.T. posts)Going back to the topic If I have the budget, I'll go with Bosch or Dewalt...but to answer your question: brand na maganda at affordable madalas hindi nagtatagpo yan dalawang yan...from my experience I have a Ryobi, Ozito, Black and Decker, JC Kawasaki, Macmaster, Taurus and Zekoki so far wala pang nagiging problem maliban sa Battery ng mga Cordless drill ko(Ryobi and Mac Master) pero in terms of quality ng mga DIY tools na ito I'll go with Ryobi, kaso normally Surplus ang binebentang Ryobi dito. So if availability ng parts ang pag uusapan, go with the locally available brand...Black and Decker or Skill... mas budget friendly ang dalawang brand na yan at may quality din naman(the two brands are intended for DIYers).
