I was there Timber at just before lunch and was shocked that there was virtually no parking slots. I had to park at the very top of the building! When I finally got in, I asked a guard why there were so many people and he said that "Rustan's" was having a sale.

I don't think though it is a mall-wide sale. Han's tools is certainly not part of the sale.

Hi guys,

don't know if this is really a bargain, but I was at T. Alonzo during lunch today and I saw a contractors saw for 25k. Pretty solid construction with a cast iron top and extensions as well. 10 in blade with a 1 1/2 hp belt driven motor. Rip fence can cut up to 32" to the right of the blade. Anyone looking for one?

Well it just fits within my 1 hour lunch break. From my office it takes about 15 minutes to get there and park. I park on the 7th level at the stairwell that leads right beside Han's. Han's is on the 6th level but parking that level is difficult. With a 30 minute transit time, I have 30 minutes to buy and browse. I just wish the cashier would not take so long. Today I bought only one item and I was the only one paying, and it still took her maybe 5 minutes which was enough take a peek at the Makita thicknesser, table saw and miter saw, as well as the jet thicknesser. I suppose if I paid with a credit card, I could even take a tool or two for a test drive :).

Does the saw have a miter slot?

Jet has a heavier duty saw than the jts 10 but it doesnt have a miter slot only a sliding table.

HEaps of jigs can me made with the miter slots.

mukhang intay ko na lang stock ni panda ng jet, ung lang ang kaya ko ngayon. . . will also be getting kasi ung thicknesser ni jet. . . depende rin sa review ni bee, hehe

MAybe a store can consolidate all the stuff from ongpin and put it on a catalogue and that store can charge 5% extra. hahahaha

maybe pinoyhandyman can do something like that ( we need to assemble a team) and the 5% profit can go to the pinoyhandyman fund and could be used for webhosting expenses, seminars and etc.

but then this is only for people who loathe going to ongpin hahahah

Just saw an ad on Sulit.com - tool, generators and accesories section. A whole bunch of woodworking tools including 14" bandsaw, contractors saw, 20" planer, 8" jointer, compressors and dust collectors. Located lang nga in Mabalacat Pampanga. check it out.
