Re: Help: best router on my budget

With the budget you stated, are you amenable just in case to raise the amount a some more. If you are a beginner in wood working, the Skil 1827 Plunge router will fit your needs. Compared to the surplus RYOBIs or OZITOs brand of routers from Australia, I think the Skil is way way much better. You do get it brand new, with warranty and you have a Bosch service center locally. But if you are thinking of Bosch or Makita brand, then you have to add more money for they more expensive than the Skil.

Try as well to check Maktek brand and compare its price with other brands mentioned.

Good Luck on the hunt !!:goodluck:

DeWALT Chopsaw
HOBART and ESAB Welding Helmets

Re: Help: best router on my budget

Like Rosy said, Skil is probably your best choice for that budget. You may want to check out the Maktec, too.

I used both Skil and Maktec and find the Skil wins, hands down.

If you want to try out the Skil, I have it in my workshop and would be happy to lend it to you. I live in Antipolo and work in Balara so, if you want to pick it up, you have the option of either place. PM me if you want to try it and I'll send you my cell number.
