Mga Gurus sa PHM, may I ask kung pwede maglagay sa table saw ng 2 blade of the same diameter with a spacer in between them? I just want to have a wider cut in one pass for making dados.

Thanks.

Re: in absence of a dado blade....

Hi Gregg,
To a certain width, maybe. A few of conditions though, Spacer/shims must be wider than the flange to prevent saw blade cupping, teeth must overlap to get middle material and shaft must have enough thread to allow for the added thickness. I said maybe because I'm a bit worried because unlike the scribe on a Panel saw yours will not have the pins that keeps the teeth from colliding. If you don't overlap yes, possible.
hth.

Ron

Re: in absence of a dado blade....

Thanks for the input bro ron. What i will be using as a spacer/shim is my 7 1/4" blade from my circular saw. Do you think it is feasible?

Re: in absence of a dado blade....

Firstly check the saw spacer you are using if there are high points. Put it on a solid flat surface like a marble top. Tap the blade to check the a high point. Pag wala, fit it and check for any fouling between tips. Run the saw for a second then stop it and check for anything unusual. If none, lightly test cut on pine. If all's good, pwede na pero always check the assembly for every few cuts.

Always think of safety.
