And oh yes... I'll be the first to say that the shaft is a must-have attachment. Maliban sa bits, kung may iba ka pang bibilin for the rotary tool, unahin mo yung shaft and it'll make your life easier in doing what you need to do.

My Dremel rotary was a gift from my wife so it came with the flex shaft and lots of goodies.

Never used the shaft yet simply because it never crossed my mind how productive its use could be.

Would you recommend also a stand for the dremel when using the shaft?

Dremel Workstation is used as a stand and a drill press stand for the DREMEL Units.
Medyo pricy lang.

Kung Dremel 3000 ang gusto mo, 2/30 Kit kunin mo since may kasama na dun sa flexible shaft.
Dahil mas mahal individually ang flex shaft.
Mostly mga competitors ni DREMEL sinasamahan nila ng version nila ng Flexible Shaft.

Kung Quality lang sir pag-uusapan talaga, First to None po ang DREMEL sa Rotary Tool.

Also to update lang magkakaroon din daw according to DREMEL PH, Dremel Fortiflex which is a standalone unit that mainly use only the Flexible Shaft and may pedal control.
Not sure kung mag-pupush through.

ang di lang maganda sa dremel pag kamahal mahal ng attachment and consumables at di rin widely available:(

thank you mga masters for the feedback! just got myself a brand spanking new dremel 3000 kanina sa robinsons galeria na handyman... 😀 20% off nga sila, though 1/26 lang meron sila but ok na ito to start with...

now i am humbly asking for newbie tips and tricks here... though i have read the manual, some of those hindi ko pa ma absorb talaga, hehehe...

few questions i have for now...

- do i need some kind of "breaking in" period? i read in the manual that i need to allow it to spin at max speed for 5 mins? tama ba pagkaka intindi ko mga masters?
- where can i possibly get additional collets? i think the one came with it is just 3mm? what if i need to drill with smaller bits?

Maybe it came with a collet adapter so you can use bits with smaller shanks.

mine only came with one collet... i'll look though for bits with smaller shanks (or bigger shanks for smaller bits? - meron din ba ganito? like 1.5mm drill bit but the main shank is say, 3mm?).

sir sorry noob question, anong difference ng keyless chuck at collet? should i just get the chuck instead of a collet set?

ang collet kasi fix lang sya 3mm shank..kung mag attach ka ng drill bit smaller than 3mm mag papalit ka pa ng different size collet..yung dremel ko 2 pcs.ang kasamang collet,3mm and 2mm.

sa keyless chuck ma eliminate mo na ang papalit palit ng collet..from 3mm bit to needle size bit.:)

i'll look for one din... ung 3mm na collet ba can still accommodate 2.5mm na drill bit safely? i think i'll be needing the 2.5mm kasi kaya bumili ako ng isa pa kasi 3mm drill bit lang ung kasama sa 1/26 ko...

Mga masters help... I think I just broke my Dremel... 🙁 Ayaw na umikot... ano kaya nangyari? Na overuse or nag overheat? Hindi naman nangamoy sunog... 🙁 When I was just about to finish one final drilling, it made some squeaking noise and then it stopped... 🙁
