What's the standard bore of 10" saw blades? i've been looking for one around my area for a blade with 5/8 bore and most of the blades come with 1".

Re: Saw Blade Bore

If your using bosch saw their standard arbor is 20mm. But when you buy their saw blade it includes ring (spacer) so you can use it with other arbor sizes like 5/8".

Bryant, depending on what Bosch tool you are using, iba iba ang arbor sizes. the 4100 tablesaw uses 5/8" arbor while their 7 1/4" circular saw uses 20mm...
Crazyboi... what do you need it for? Most of my blades are 5/8". :snow::snow::snow:

Re: Saw Blade Bore

As you already know, most locally available 10" blades have 1" holes ... but usually come with adapters to step down to usually 20 mm and/or 5/8" ... e.g., MaxSell, Nicholson. Exception: Makita 100T, 120T for aluminum, no adapter to 5/8".

Locally available Makita 10" miter saw has 5/8" arbor and comes with adapter to step up to 1". I would guess other locally available brands are the same but don't know.

What 10" miter saw do you have that has 5/8" arbor but does not come with a step up adapter to 1"?

How can what be possible. This is referring to the LS1040. I don't know about the LS1013 sold locally or the LS1013 sold in US. Isn't the story the same with them?

If you mean how can locally sold 10" miter saws have a sensible arbor size (5/8" arbor, which allows use of both 5/8" and 1" blades) whereas locally sold portable circular saws do not (20 mm arbor, which prevents use of 5/8" blades), I have no idea. The Bosch PH manager who I ran into before didn't have an answer, or a coherent answer, either.

Re: Saw Blade Bore

@guad,

my fault..:oops:..i thought you were referring to the miter saw blade since the thread is all about saw blade bore.

the ls1013 has also that free stepped up adaptor...had a bosch blade before with 30mm bore but returned it after finding out the adaptor cannot "adapt" at all.
