Hi, guys.

I'm planning to buy torque wrench for my car "tweaking" project. Do you have any tips for me before I buy (where to buy? what to look for? good brand? what to watch out for? etc).

Any info will be very much appreciated. Thanks!

Atoz

Re: Torque Wrench buying tips

Hi sir. In my case i have been using a 1/2 drive s-k'sbrand torque wrench. Mine is a click type torque wrench, wherein you set your required torque at the bottom of the handle. I find it easy to use because when you feel or hear the click you can quickly stop tightening.

I hope this helps even just for a bit.

Sir Supaflay, you're the one selling Bessey Pipe clamps, right?

Have you defined the torque range you will work on .. if it was me I'd do this first then shop for the corresponding wrench.

Re: Torque Wrench buying tips

Jayl is right, you need first to specify your torque requirement. Specially for those clicker type wrench which has a preset torque.

Bolts & nuts has specified torque, if you set the torque over its allowable specs you will either break the bolt or destroy the nut thread.
