i am looking for a cabinet type toolbox like the ones used in automotive.
i don't need brand new. surplus will do as no heavy rusting, denting or deformations. lock is a must by the way. also, no imports. i prefer local buy.
if some sort of restoration is needed, i can manage as long as no major damage.

There are shops in Evangelista St. selling the older type filling cabinets. If you are lucky you can find the shallow drawer ones and probably still made in Japan. These sell for somewhere in the range of 2.5k to 3.5K. This is were I got mine. I also refurbished and painted it.
The Chinese made auto tool boxes are made of thin sheet and still priced in the range of 10-15K new. The good ones like Unior sell for something like 35K for a six drawer model.
