Delayed pasko. Last year purchases pa ito.

I'm really amazed with PB Swiss quality. I thought the Germans were very good already.

The packaging says Small Parts was the source. They were taken over by Amazon and looks like they off loaded inventory. I doubt these PB Swiss tools can be purchased at the same price I paid unless they go on a major closeout again.

I would have been happier to receive the ADH first than all of these tools. 🙂

Re: Automotive Tools

Hi Edward.... ( importer405 )

Do you have a Lota tool like or similar to this in the store? One new member here is asking because he needs for his brake line modifications. Double Flaring Tool.

Re: Automotive Tools

Hello sirs,

My first post here.

@sir JayL,

Nice tools you have there....(how about donating some "tools-not-used-often"?).hehe. peace out....Na-overwhelm nako sa first ten pages pa lang netong thread na eto..

As per my toolbox, i only purchase the common tool brands at ACE, Handyman, etc. Yun lang kinaya ng bulsa, hehe...my kikoy kit contains Daiken, Stanley, Eagle, SKs, Tomeco, some China tools before the branded ones, 1 box of Craftsman from my dad kasi hindi na rin nya ginagamit...

I'm planning to get also an air compressor this coming summer once i get the additional budget from wifey...Any brand you suggest? The Vespa brand is very common at shops. Is it a good buy?

Plus, I'm planning to start my first carpentry project this weekend. A simple cabinet for our academic books (wifey and i are both teachers anyway)

Re: Automotive Tools

Gentlemen,

I have been lurking on this board for quite a while now and I honestly have learned a lot. I am now in the process of making my own general purpose workshop. I would be mostly dealing with motorcycles and maybe dabble a little bit on my car. I would also like learn how to paint and weld on my own. My budget for the tools would be around 30 to 35K. Do you think this would be enough?

I have e-canvassed the tools that I would want to have and I want your comments on my selection.

Pneumatic Impact Wrench Powercraft 1/2" Set

Sir,

What's your location? If ever you want to lessen the costs, you may try to look around at Marina Arcade, Dau, Pampanga. I've bought some of my tools there. Got a SKs 6-pt socket wrench set and Tomeco Combination Wrench for a total of P3k. Sabihin mo lang sa mga nagbebenta na para sa shop mo para at least mabawasan pa yung price kasi kung for personal use or hobby lang mas mataas ang ibibigay na presyo...Air compressors, special tools, vises, etc. madami din dun. May brand new and surplus.

Let's wait for the tool gurus here. For sure marami silang alam kung saan at magkano.

Re: Automotive Tools

@miked,
Thanks for the suggestion. I'm from Navotas but I'm willing to go to Dau as long as the savings would offset the cost of going there.

If ever if it's your first time there I'll give you the directions anyway....After the Dau exit, you'll pass by the Shell gas station then Dau bus terminal at your left. Take a right turn upon reaching the T-intersection (that is the MacArthur hiway na)... about 100-200 meters (i think), Marina Arcade is at the left side of the road.

Pwede ka na rin bumili ng military apparels dun kung mejo warfreak ka...hehe..madami dun...yung pinagbilhan ko na pwesto is approximately nasa middle portion ng building manned by a couple (in their 30s i think).......baka world war 2 vintage na bayonet at US helmet may makuha ka pa dun.;)

Re: Automotive Tools

Hi there triacontakaidigon,

First of all congrats to your future target and endeavor, who knows it might point to a direction of becoming a future business for you. Like what you have just said in your post, you have e-canvassed the tools that you are planning to purchase. I presume you will be buying this tools one at a time and still maybe be canvassing for cheaper priced tools but still with quality. :p

With regards to the welding machine, why don't you check out the new PHM classified ads forum, we have a member here selling his welding machine for only php 4K, he is selling it because he bought a new one. Better yet PM him so you could discuss with him what you would want to know about his welding machine if ever you are interested. 😉

Ok good luck on your tool hunting and God bless.

You may check here first, aside from the gas/transpo/toll fee cost you get to choose on what you like and not on what is only available. With the price at hand, you get to decide better if going to Dau would be worth the gamble.
