went to handyman yesterday and the available brands are lotus and greenfield only. the salesboy told me with confidence that the greenfield is "made in USA" but i smelled a rat....

Since Dau is closer to my home than Manila area, I shopped again for tools (of course, with permission from my swmbo:rolleyes:).....

I laid my eyes on a 7pc pipe threader Crosswind brand (made in USA as embossed on the tool) drilling your pocket for P2.5k...Is it a good buy? didn't buy it yet as I want to ask the masters here especially on how to spot a fake.

Instead, I ended up buying 5 pcs of tools for P3.5k. the ff tools are: metric tap and die set (some fake German I presume), Crosswind vise grip, Ratchet tie down (can't see the brand but it says made in Sweden), Wynns impact drive and an el cheapo 4 inch Machinist Vise with non-replaceable jaws......

Torque and clearance values are the most important data on these manuals.

The best Ratcheting Wrench design so far ( for me) . Box and Ratcheting Combination. Usually these wrenches come with an open end. This new design is a lot better. Break the fastener loose with the box end then flip the wrench and finish the job using the ratcheting side. The reverse is true for tightening.

Extra length for more torque. The 19mm is 15 1/2" long.
