New battery terminals for my GSR.

Needs replacement

Tap an additional hole in the new terminal

Exacting ang tolerance ng Norseman Tap and Drill combo ... tight and walang play ang bolt

We found the MAP sensor defective and we replaced it. We also returned back the stock air box. For some reason this car does not like the K&N filter previously installed.

I see a lot of relays, who works on your car's electrical Jay, ikaw na din? Also, are those terminal blocks available locally aside from the auto-audio shops in Banawe?

Yes I do work on the car electrical myself unless it's really too job intensive. The 2 relays are for the horns. I have 2 horn sets installed. 1 relay per horn pair.

I believe the Battery Terminals were purchased at Mayo Parts in Evangelista.

TIP :

a dab of anti seize on the plugs prior to installation can go a long way and help make sure the plugs go out easily on the next spark plugs change

This plastic oil pan is very useful to contain used oil ... available at Panda. Check it out ... it's cheap.

i want to change my sparkplug from stock to iridium...nakita ko yung isang tip ng SP e may konting rust pagkaalis ko ng cap.

paano ko malalaman kung ko lahat yung SP ko ay ok kapag tumatakbo na ang engine? do i need test tool?
aside from checking the SP cable resistance check, ano pa pwede ko gawin? hehehe

saka, pwede makahiram ng tools 😀

Bro ossie, hello!

If I may insert, you can something like the Lisle Inline Spark Tester to visually check and compare the spark performance. Just make sure to get an extension of you engine's SP hole is too deep as the tester is somewhat short for my car.

For the SP cable/ignition cable/HTW (High Tension Wire) resistance check, it would actually depend on your car's specs. You may check you manual or search online for the required minimum resistance rating per meter and just by using a VOM (Volt Ohm Meter) and using a digital one would be convenient.

Sorry for the expounded explanation, as I know you guys are already auto inclined. It's just for those peeps who will be reading them in the future that are somewhat new to cars.

Hmmm very seldom do I test on spark plugs and cables. unless I'm trouble shooting a tune up problem.

Just as Jarod said this tool can can be used to check sparks.

Resistance check for spark plug wires will be just fine.

i checked the resistance of high tension wire yesterday... yung 5 htw are all in the range of 1.2k to 1.6k but yung isa is nasa 1.8M...whew!!! yung nasa 1.8m ay yung nabanggit ko na may kalawang sa end papuntang coil... most probably may problema yung wire na yun...pero yung sa coil ay di ko pa sure...i need to research again how to test the coil...or baka alam nyo na, paturo na din hahahaha

As much as I would like to help, I have no hands-on experience with ditributor-less setups. The best I could do is send you some LINKS but I guess you have done that already. Good luck on your tune-up.

Btw, not sure how long are your HTWs but the recommended rating for my Japanese car is 16 kohms per meter. Better try to compare another set if possible.

I need an Idle Air Control Valve ( Servo ) for a Lancer GSR 2000. OEM is 21K, Japan replacement is 12.5K ( both no warranty ) while surplus is 5.5K ( one week warranty ).

No surplus stock in Evangelista St in Makati so I guess it's Banawe next.

This is my surplus supplier in Evangelista. Moji as well gets his parts here.
