Re: Bosch 3-28 Hammer Drill Chisel

the flying tiles were exagerrated then, but how did you find the actual chiseling action? hindi naman underpowered?

The tiles will fly alright, just in many pieces 😀 The power is alright for removing tiles and light demo you just need to get the technique right. I have a video of removing the tiles but i can't seem to download it to my pc.

@moji

glad to know that, the bosch 3-28 and 2-28 are roughly 3.1J. - i'll prolly choose between the two. 4J ones are much much more expensive.

Re: Bosch 3-28 Hammer Drill Chisel

I think the 2-28 isnt available yet? I was told that the config of the 3-28 makes it less stressful on the motor itself. What i like with the 2-28 is the quick removal of the sds chuck for regular chuck replacement.

Re: Bosch 3-28 Hammer Drill Chisel

i also have one its a great tool i even used it to put up a new Door on Hollow Block Wall

make your work much easier

first i layout how big and the position of the new door.

then i used angle grinder to cut through the hollow blocks front and back

then i used the hummer drill to hummer the wall until there is a gap between the hollow block wall

after that we just use MASO to bring the wall down

it took me around 3-4 hours to do the job

Re: Bosch 3-28 Hammer Drill Chisel

i got the 2-26, 800watts 3J. i used it to remove palitada and chb. the power's ok - it's not the same as a demolition hammer but it's not as big and heavy either.

my only complaint is that it gets hot easily during extensive chippn

Re: Bosch 3-28 Hammer Drill Chisel

i dont think 2-26 can chisel, i think its for hummer drilling only

if you need light chisel may be at least 3-28 i have tried using it to chisel on cement slab and works fine. but of course mga 45min per session then let it cool down for 15min

Re: Bosch 3-28 Hammer Drill Chisel

@rpga
i just chiseled out a 3¨ pvc elbow out of slab concrete today using the 2-26 dre. the -dre suffix is important. the 3-28 e model doesn't chisel either, only the 3-28 dre.

i did a quick comparison between the 2-26 dre and 3-28 dre: the impact was roughly 3J on both. what you get with the more expensive 3-28. seems to be avr and better form factor ( easier to work in tight spots ).

man, after using a rotary hammer there's no going back. the drilling action can't be compared to a regular hammer drill - it's so much faster. the sds bits aren't cheap though - almost double that of a green bosch bit. i sure hope they last.

btw, i suggest using gloves while chiseling - i blistered my finger operating that hammer.

Re: Bosch 3-28 Hammer Drill Chisel

I was told by golden that the "d" designation is the one that has the chisel function. The vibration control in the 3-28 was the deciding factor for me in getting the 3-28. It really works, the only thing is i wish the auxiliary handle had anti-vibe as well. it was the hand that held the aux handle that felt the brunt of the vibrations.

Re: Bosch 3-28 Hammer Drill Chisel

i think less vibration less blistering on hands?

any way i used mine with gloves :(^_^) even i have labor to do the job i just did it my self.. i enjoyed it hehehe...

BTW i never knew 2-26 had thet much power.. and even on to concrete slab..

i just bought 2 SDS plus 4 mm X 5inch Concrete bit for drilling wholes for concrete nails i don't want my walls to crack so i drill it first... i try to see how long would it last..
