Re: Bosch 3-28 Hammer Drill Chisel

@rpga
2-26 can do the job, but it gets hot so i have to let it cool down - roughly a quarter or a third of the time.

for drilling holes it's great - akala mo kahoy ang buhos hehe. it doesn't replace a hammer drill though - even if small sds+ bits are available. the hammer action tends to damage the palitada, and the hole diameters seem inconsistent with small holes.

it's not a problem for me - sds bits are expensive anyway, and i don't. want to laspag my rotary hammer too quickly hehe

Re: Bosch 3-28 Hammer Drill Chisel

HI there bro zepol,

Bro ask ko lang, how much did you pay for the 2-26 DRE ? Coz I might just get one to replace my old MAXSELL rotary hammer or pag naka ipon pa I might just get the GBH 4-32 DFR because of its vibration control dumping system, if this is already available.

Anyway bro, reminder lang if you want your tool to last specially that rotary hammer, wipe it clean with a damp cloth always before putting it back to its case for storage, siguraduhin mo na sa mga singit singit, maalis mo ang mga concrete dust so that this dust may not hardened and stick to the body casing, after which you dampen a piece of cloth with oil or WD40, wipe again your rotary hammer para mukhang bago uli, hehehehe, free tip for your tool/s. LOL,:D:biggrin:

Re: Bosch 3-28 Hammer Drill Chisel

I was told by golden that the "d" designation is the one that has the chisel function. The vibration control in the 3-28 was the deciding factor for me in getting the 3-28. It really works, the only thing is i wish the auxiliary handle had anti-vibe as well. it was the hand that held the aux handle that felt the brunt of the vibrations.

Bro moji,

I think you should have purchased the other model, the GBH 4-32 DFR, this model has a vibration control dumping system, instead of the 3-28 DRE, WHAT DO YOU THINK BRO ?? ;)

Re: Bosch 3-28 Hammer Drill Chisel

@ rosy

my 2cents: alanganin ang 3-series. i think the motor's about the same as the 2-series. if that's the case, you'll have to rest the machine anyway so the vibra isn't such a problem. the short form factor is nice when working in cramped spaces, but for me it wasn't worth the extra cost.

the 4 series has a lot more oomph, so mas sustained ang work rate niya so the avr makes more sense there. it's also bigger and heavier, and costs a lot more (19k or so). believe me i was sorely tempted by the 4 series. but i knew that it was almost twice the price of the 2-26 but not twice as useful so i held back - pambili din ng auto darken helmet ang savings eh. 🙂

The 3-28 DRE has vibration control. The price of the two cant be compared though.

Are there embedded rebars on the slabs and beams?

Maybe you can try Bosch SDS Plus X5L bits.

Re: Bosch 3-28 Hammer Drill Chisel

iirc you should expect a bit to last around 100 holes. Baka nga rebar, i think you're supposed to relocate the hole if you encounter rebar. Even if there's a bit that can handle rebar, do you really want to do that to a a post or beam hehe.

Thanks guys for the tips, accidentally got mine on a random Panda visit. I actually got both Demo Hammer and this (3-28). Excited to test it, wanted to change the tiles of our bathroom because of this. Got a cheapy fusion tool as well as I plan to do the PPR myself. Tiling will be by the pro masons 🙂

Sorry, still new with rotaries. Is there a slot in the 3-28 where you put grease precisely? Thanks
