Good AM Guru's. Newbie here when it comes to buying or looking for shops. Before i used to get my tools from my Dad but he passed away few years ago and the drill he gave me was'nt working that well anymore.

I just want to ask if there is any recommended shops in binondo or raon where i could buy some bang for the buck Cordless drill?

How about those surplus Ryobi Power tools?

Mods just remove my post if there's an existing topic. thanks

Re: Cordless Drill q's

Drill is the most common tool in the household that helps a lot in many ways. You may want to look for quality tools. Bosch & makita cordless drills will not let you down. I have many 18V bosch cordless power tools and I can attest to their quality & performance. HTH

HI there russman,

There are some numbers of good shops in Binondo or Raon that you can buy these cordless tools, all you have to do is to have the time and patience to check and learn about these stores.

I have nothing against these surplus Ryobi tools that have become available in the market now, you will just have to check if they are still almost brand new or overly used, from the word itself its surplus. Just to be fair for the tools coming out now, they are mostly made in China or Taiwan, from Makita, Bosch, Dewalt, Black&Decker, Rigid, AEG, Metabo, Stanley, McCulloch and many others so what is the difference of Ryobi with the rest. I also have some Ryobi tools and are still working quite well. It all still depends on how you use and maintain your power tools, cordless or with cords. 😉

If you are the type that wants the branded power tools and can afford them, then go for it but if you are the type that can live by a lesser brand name and yet can maintain them well and just use them occasionally then you are free to choose those brands. This is a free country friend. 🙂 :p

Re: Cordless Drill q's

masters,
i would like to ask the difference between cordless and wired drills. as much as possible i prefer based on experience.
aside from portability of the cordless what else is the advantage? does it provide lower power due to battery operated? i would like to buy a cordless but would the power be sufficient enough for metal/wood/cement?
kindly give me some input base on your experience.

additional:
how about the rotary tool (dremel). would this be sufficient enough to replace a cordless drill?

Thanks in advance for the input

-Paolo

main diff between corded and non corded is power. you'll never run out of juice for corded models unless you're extension is short or you have no power source. this is where cordless excels though. personality I'd still go corded.

Hey mykel,

I prefer using a corded drills for concrete drilling , you'll never run out of juice and more torque is needed specially when using a rotary hammer drill. 😉

Yes for wood use, cordless drills can definitely be recommended. 🙂

I have a 3 yr old ryobi 14.4v cordless impact drill, 1st battery went dead after year, 2nd battery has only 2minute juice after 3 years of only quaterly use for making 6mm-10mm holes on concrete.
