Hi,

I have a Karcher K270 Power washer. Its leaking water in the cylinder head. This head is made of hard plastic and has a crack now.

What is the best way to weld or patch this crack. I tried to put epoxy on the outer side but after a while the leak is back again due to the high pressure.

I am planning to take the head off and disassemble it then pacth the crack with epoxy from the inside and then redo the outside.

Do you think this would work. Anything better than epoxy?

I can order the part from Karcher for 44 USD but then it would be a hassle and I have to wait till it is shipped here.

Can anybody please help and give tips on how to repair this.

check this out:

Re: Defective Karcher Power washer

My Karcher hi-pressure washer also didn't last long. Just after a few months of "seldom" use it also leaked on the head likewise. Tried all the remedies to repair it but leaked just the same. Tried to contact Co-Bian-Kat as their local representative but no luck in parts. I ended up buying the Kawasaki brand most commonly used by car wash shops. So far so good.
