Re: dewalt Plunge saw DC351KL, 28v Cordless

The disadvantage of this plunge saw is: I need 2 more batteries in order not to stop working and wait for the spare batt to be fully charge. it just take an hour to fully charge the battery but it takes only 30mins or less to use & drain the batt especially ripping of boards.

I'll better get the corded one next time!!! BOSCH GKT55GCE sana dumating ka na !!!!...

BTW, I have a Rear Plunging Track saw.... COMING SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@jay,

a DIY track saw can be done bro...only when i find suitable materials...hehe...

@fort,

me riving knife na pla yan!

how about the noise bro? tancha ko, less noisy since nakahouse yung blade...

and what is good me dust port pa...

kaya lang...parang bitin talaga power pala kahit na 28 volt na..iba talaga siguro pag corded nga...there is no stopping.

trimming the anti chip strip
Test cut.
had a smooth cut under the anti chip edge.

fortnapz,

What is 'anti chip strip' ... were you making a sawboard for use with the track? Isn't the track already acting like sawboard, i.e., zero clearance guide on one side of the blade?

I'm wondering how to design a track that is (and whether any of the commercial tracks are) not only sawboard but also zero clearance on both sides of blade.

Did you get the clamps to go with track? Or is friction enough.

I got the clamps but not the track! Supposedly (?) these work with DeWalt, Festool, and Makita tracks. (No intention of getting track ... just needed the shape of the clamp for other uses.)

[COLOR="blue"]Festool, Mafell and Bosch Plunge saw had a features of zero clearance that make your cuts w/o chip on both sides.

[COLOR="blue"]I don't have that clamp. but with my experience in cutting sheet board, the grip of the anti slip beneath the rail is enough to hold the track in place.
