If its from the sidewalk, most probably yes. It's also possible the B&D have some cheaper models already, specially orange colored ones.

Guys may roon bang fake na black & Decker ? An officemate of mine told me he was able to get a NEW 12v black & Decker Cordless Drill for 2500 php in Binondo.

2.5k in Binondo is a reasonable price for the genuine B&D, I think. I got mine at Robinson's DoItBest for 5K or 6K. That was three years ago.

BTW forgot to mention its 110V.. so I guess its the real deal as to the possibility of counterfeits in the USA is less likely vis a vis the philippines

Actually it makes more sense to fake cheaper but POPULAR brands like B&D. Makita, Metabo (spelling) and other HIGH END brands wont sell hehehe.

gee, you'd think counterfeiters would imitate high end brands.

To make sure you got authentic black n decker..Go to PowerMan -authorized dealer look for wilma sa T.Alonzo or to me i also sell 12v B&D orig from canada but unfortunately all sold out!!

sorry to butt in...

pero nowadays cheap na talaga ang b&d sa mall hardwares..and i wont have time to be distracted by second hand cheap wannabes..or at least looking brand new...20 years ago meron ng fake Makita ...pero "Makata" ang logo..nowadays it is so easy to copy almost identically all the stuff available be it tools or your what nots.

graduate nako kasi sa B&D...my first drill..happy with it and it died gracefully..

now i want something more..yung pang industrial quality kahit na weekend warrior lang..(in truth..bi annual warrior na lang yata ako..hehe)

pero for starters..yes you can try b&d..kahit orig ingatan na lang...and know the limits ng tools.

kaya i would advice...sa reputable stores na lang bumili..from 2-2.5K me b&d drill kana...or better wait ka nalang mag sale! haha

Kung matagal ka ng gumagamit ng tools madali mo malaman kung fake o hindi. Normally yun label madaling matanggal pag fake. At yun casing hindi pulido ang pagkakagawa. Para makaiwas sa fake sa authorized dealer ka bumili.

I have a B&D cordless drill with 22 torque settings purchased 2007 around P5K until know OK pa rin.

Need to buy a backup this tool, eto kse gamit ko pang screw ng mga Melamine boards.

Better chance to get genuine stuff at better prices is to buy in reputable stores in T. Alonzo St. or for that matter Binondo Area. Fakes mostly are found in the side walks.
