i cant find one ( i admit i dont try hard enough)
so i thought it seems easy enough to make one... just a block of wood with a circular or square hole depending on the shape of the movable shaft. Then the tip of the shaft can have a nail as the marker.
Now i just need a knob that will clamp down on the shaft...
Has anyone tried making one?
Re: has anyone made a diy marking guage?
I made one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The screw that is attached for clamping the shaft is easily turned by hand. it has a female thread embedded to allow the screwing and unscrewing
My first real chiseling job. Not as bad as i expected. but it wasn't perfect so i had to put some "paddings" inside the hole to keep the shaft from wobbling

Nice Bee. You should keep a small horde of "tool" wood (Kamagong, etc) for these projects of yours.
