Frankly speaking I find Lotus power tools simply just for home DIY use only and not in the category of heavy duty power tool. I did have a few years back a Lotus 5" angle grinder, well it didn't last me long, its now dead and out of commission. Service Center is somewhere in Paranaque, I don't know where plus I have no time to go to that place and find their service center.
So I have switched to buying Makita, DeWalt,Bosch, and Milwaukee brands, these brands may be a bit more expensive but hey I"m sure these power tools are of quality and really have lasted me long. :2thumbsup:

Bro look for quality of the power tools and not the price. :agree:

I use these power tools basically for metal fabrications. The grinders for polishing, grinding and cutting metals.
Hammer drills for concrete, wood and metal use of course. 😉

Lotus is good enough brand for Personal use, but check other brands like Bosch, DCA, Makita MT and Skil for your budget of 2.7k.
which i can say has better warranty and availability of their spare parts in case it breaks down.
Compare din specifications para maganda rin yung mabili mo.

After siguro ng first project, dun natin masusukat talaga kung nakuha ang best bang for your buck.
Hintay pa tayo ng other stories and advice from others to help you with your decision.

yes nag check po ako ng ibang brand kaso. di matalo ung 2.7k price tag ng drill at grinder e.

ung drill 13mm 650w

angle grinder 4" 600w toggle po

eto po ung isang option ko

DCA impact drill 500w 13mm = 1.6k
SKil 6610 450w 10mm = 1.8k with 50 pcs accesories >> anu mas ok dito sa specs

Skil 4" grinder = 1,250

You should also ask yourself: how much is my time worth?

Nakatipid ka nga ng 200-300 pesos, but in the middle of a project nasira yung tool mo. Then you have to go to the service center (that is, kung may service center nga yung brand na napili mo) to have it repaired. Pamasahe/gasolina, pagkain, oras sa traffic...

I'd rather spend a few hundreds more on a quality tool.

Yes every day specially with large metal projects, with metals needed to be grinded or cut before welding.
So what kung hindi mo magamit lagi yung tool, what is important is that you invested your hard earned money
on a quality power tool and the next time you will use it, sigurado ka na mahusay na gagana ang power tool mo.

If you have some guilt in buying Bosch or other expensive power tool, then get a SKIL, its the DIY brother of
the Bosch brand, better warranty with spare parts and service center.

Like what I said, look and consider the quality of the tool not the price.

You get what you pay for !

OMG, don't buy this brand period! spend more to Bosch or Skil.

Skil is the bang for the buck brand for me. I had my cordless skil sander, jigsaw and drill for more than 2 years and its still working. I also have a bosch mini cordless screwdriver since 2008 or 09 and its still working til now.

Agree! I bought my skil 1997 nabaha na lahat ayos pa naman. At that time (1997) ang kulang ng Skil ay dark green pa hahaha.
