Hello PHM sirs.

I was just at Hans tools at shangri la a while ago canvassing for a com miter saw. I'm looking to buy either friday or saturday.

I'm going to use it for wood working AND to cut pretty thick tubular aluminum (think powder coated aluminum windows in buildings)

I'm going to change our very very old and messed up wooden window frames with aluminum (tubular, casings, frames etc.)

The prices aren't too far apart cause the bosch comes with a blade while the cheaper makita doesn't.

Both rpm? i think are 4500 and 4600. Is this too slow or too fast for cutting excellent quality aluminum?

Any other advice or point i need to consider?
Any disadvantages?

Thanks in advance guys.

Try to hook up with timber or golden for better pricing of Bosch cms. I am a proud Bosch cms user, no problem whatsoever .

Buy a Makita for a simple reason. After service advantage and availability of parts (Parts easily accesible at Mayon Trading @ Dasmarinas st Binondo and easy to find unlike the other brand). Also go directly to Mayon or call first because prices at Hans way up compared to binondo price..:cheerleader:

Bosch has service centers around the country, unlike makita.... Sa mayon lang. Of course they have parts for it since the Bosch is designed with common parts in mind, hindi sya model specific. Though of course meron din syan parts specific for the model which they always have....

I would buy one that is more accurate, sturdy and needs as little to no service if possible.... Any of the two are good options, its is your choice imo since you can't go wrong with either.

Thanks sirs Ricky, Pyth, and Timber.

Only reason I'm partial (right now) to Hans is cause ortigas is close to my home here in QC. Mayon in binondo is such a chore for me. Laugh all you want hehe but the one time I explored binondo, I parked in issetan so i know my car is pretty safe and walked all of soler up to mayon. Good experience. Just tiring. and I sweat like a pig on top of that. I'll want to bring a buddy to be a driver when i go next to mayon.

And i think Mayon can't do instalment but hans can.

Sir Timber, is it true you might be able to help me with a better price for a bosch gcm10 compared to hans' deal? How could i contact you sir?

Thanks again sirs!

No need to call Bosch or me for that matter. All you need is to call Panda and aask for their prices. They have a store in dasmarinas st in binondo or another in araneta ave (less hassle). The number in binondo is 2426154, look for edward or cathy...
