Re: My new and improved Scroll Saw Station

I used Helmsman Spar Urethane, it is clear but has a very light yellowish color to it.

Now that's bragging ... joke lang bro .. but isn't that stuff expensive? I myself used Zar's external polyurethane on the mast of my boat which is also expensive but epoxy does not like sunlight. For internal use, you could just use Hudson.

I'm not sure if they still have them but there used to be stockpile of laminates at HMR Pioneer. If I remember right each sheet 4 x 12 sheet cost P300 only. They also used to have a whole stockpile of MDF boards but I think those are gone already.

Very very nice. Keep those projects coming.

Jackpot!

We should start a topic titled "Bargain Alerts" so when one of us happens upon one the rest can swoop down and on it too.

Was that Handyman? The picture is blurred but the price tags look like True Value?

Is that an annual thing at whereever it was, that we can expect again this year, or a one-time event?

I remember that Ace had a sale in October wherein I got Firefly fluorescent light fixtures for -10% only to find that another store (in province, not national) had them at -33% one month later.

Re: My new and improved Scroll Saw Station

for Scrollsaw users:
here is a tip on how to save your blades...
scrollsaw blades don't really stay sharp very long,

by building an auxiliary table and raising the cutting area brings the material to be cut to the height of the unused blade, thus giving you a new part of the blade to be used...

Re: My new and improved Scroll Saw Station

Nice tip bro. I don't use my scroll saw much but I'm sure knowing this will come in handy one of these days.
