Re: newbie here and my workshop!!

great descision on moving the workbench. now all you have to do is fix the wall cabinet so that the ts station can fit underneath it to save space when not in use... but since you do have the space, ok na yan... hingin nanan ng konting space o? kahit 1' x 3' lang ok na..

hehehe if only i could i wouldve already give it to you.

I am contemplating on a dust collector. To be attached to the RT, TS and Miter saw. Kaso ang ingay eh. Although i got ear muffs

I will be fixing a see through wall cabinet for hand held power tools on the opposite end of where my pick up is.

on dust collectors, there are two commonly used ones. the real ones and the shopvacs. the big ones can be installed outside the shop and hosed inside na lang, no noise and no space inside the shop wasted. the shopvac naman, well I have plans for a shopvac housing that should reduce the sound it produces tremendously. I haven't made one since I don't have a space for it.

Re: newbie here and my workshop!!

i am also hoping it costs less than 10 K because a baby is on the way and the rotary tool was going to be my last tool purchase for.... God knows how long

a shopvac30 cost around 10K, a dust collector probably more than twice...

Have you seen Timber's new Phil Thein Baffle. His original prototype is with me now and it works great with a shop vac. Keeps the vac filter clean so no degradation in suction power during prolonged usage.

Re: newbie here and my workshop!!

Of the Shop-Vac models available locally, the "Pro Hang Up" ("Hang Up Pro" in US) has a long hose, 5.5 m x 32 mm, so it might work for being put outside. Also it has smaller footprint and was cheaper last January (P5,340 promo) than the Pro 30 (P7,200 before discount) probably because it has no rollers.

beebeenator,

thanks for the significant insights. will take note of all these as i slowly acquire my first toys.

anyway, mr beebeenator, i really admire your workshop, titira rin ako ng ganyan sir, pero mas maliit, matapos sana in 2-3 months.

slamat sa lahat

was backreading and saw my earlier post from a few months back. . . .

heto na nakayanan ko so far. . .
