Guys good day. please help! been searching sa net for months and i decided to ask from you guys here on the forum. How to make a DIY acrylic/plastic bending machine? im going to it for making an aquarium using acrylics. Thanks guys. I hope may sumagot...:(

You can simply bend acrylic by heating it but I think its not advisable for diy because acrylic tends to crack and return to it's original shape once it cooled, for a cheaper solution you can have it bended on signage making shops.

You actually can easily bend acrylic with an acrylic bender and it actually stays in the shape you want it when done right? The inquiry was how to make the bender I believe... Diy style.
Its as simple as a heating coil, the one used on electric stoves (not definite about the name but I believe its called chromate wire), a form to limit and/or direct the heat and a switch that can control the electricity output to the wire.
Darrel, it would actually be nice if you can recommend things you tried or know for certain...

you can buy heating element along avenida medyo tapat ng AVESCO not sure how exactly katapat... just look arround may bentahan kasi doon ng mga heating element para sa electric stove.

ang mga materyales ay aking nabili sa isang lugar sa Sta. Cruz, Maynila mga sampung taon na siguro ang nakakalipas - hindi ko matandaan kung ito ay yung AVESCO na nabanggit ni rpga. kung ikaw paparoon sa dakong iyon, huwag kang mahiya na magtanong kung anong mga materyales ang iyong dapat na bilhin sa iyong proyekto. maging maingat at suriing mabuti ang pagkakagawa ang aking paalala.
