Re: Post your drills (corded or cordless)

My current cordless drill drivers setup ...

The Makita 7.2V Nicad 3/8" drill served me so well that I decided to buy a new battery for it. For smaller bits 1/4" & below this is my drill choice.

Except for the Makitas all are Lithium Ion Battery operated.

Millermatic 180 Autoset Mig Welder
Miller Spoolmate 100 Spool Gun
Victor Firepower 350 Oxy Ace Outfit
3M Speedglas 9002X AD Helmet
Makita LC1230 Dry Cut Saw
Ingersoll Rand Air Tools
Snap On Tools
Metabo Power Tools
Norseman Drill Cutting Tools
Bosch Power Tools
3M PPS

Bro yun 18V na Bosch impactor is very good. If I'm not mistaken it's 1500 in -lb torque so mga 125 ft-lbs. Pwede na. I use a square drive adaptor to use sockets.

I'm still thinking. I might put this impactor for sale while it's still new in order to buy a real square drive impactor which I need more because I already have another hex drive impactor.

I'm not sure yet also but I might spring for any of this later. Just can't decide yet if I want a 3/8" or a 1/2" square drive.

3/8" drive

Re: Post your drills (corded or cordless)

does anyone have a makita dp2050? i hate the chuck/key!

it's a pretty good drill - almost as aggressive as a rotary hammer. the chuck (or maybe the key) is another matter though. bungi agad ang susi, yet it's really hard to tighten.

i wonder if i should replace the chuck?

Metabo keyless chucks are very good ...

What is the capacity and thread size of your Makita's drill chuck?

I have a spare Jacobs UK keyed drill chuck that came from one of the Makita Drills I upgraded.

It's 13mm capacity and the thread is 1/2 x 20.

These info are usually written on the chuck itself. I wonder what is the thread size of your drill chuck.
