Good Day PHM! Preparing CHB Wall for plastering seems very frustrating. Lots of man hours just to smoothen the surface area by area, and its very tedious, manual labor. Despite that, imperfections are still visible to some degree. I was wondering if there was a power tool to could replace the manual sanding of the plastered areas to make work faster and more efficient. id love to invest in such tool if its right for the job. thank you !
How aboout power sanders like random orbital sanders ... Try to buy the cheap one from olx then test it if it works for your application
thanks nick.. im thinking of getting a PALM sander... but im not so sure yet if the palm or orbital sander is the best tool for the job. any thoughts on this? 🙂 thanks!
Kung meron high spot sa concrete plaster gamitan mo ng grinder with diamond cup disk para pumantay. Then yun minor abrasion due to grinding masilyahan mo na lang. Then sander with grit 120 sandpaper to smoothen/flatten the putty.
or pwede mo gamitan nito...
search for drywall sanders
d ko lang alam kung meron ang available na ganyan dito sa pinas.
thanks for all the help. i think i might go this route - yes sir@bryant77, i tried a grinder and a diamond cup wheel (although expensive), it can be effective for heavy sanding, but its difficult to control. so ill stick with that for the very rough surfaces and add a random orbital sander (quarter sheet sanders) for smooth plastering/surface preparation. Hoping this combo will save cost and time in the long run!
@ nick, first time to learn that there is this type of power tool ... thanks for sharing ... cheers
Boo!
