What kind of material is the wall? If it is just wood you could just buy one of the cheap drills and keep it for other uses. A P5 coin is about 30mm in diameter which is going to be your bigger problem because drill bits this size are rather expensive. I think el-cheapo Lotus sells a 1-1/2" spade bid that will most likely last at least 5 of those holes. Another alternative would be to make series of smaller holes in a circular shape then to use a file to smoothen it out. If you don't have a half round file then get one of those 80 grit sanding disks (P35) roll it into a tube and use that as a file.

If the wall is concrete you will need a hammer drill. The bit is still your problem. I've never seen a masonry bit as big as a P5 coin. The series of holes is how I would it.

you can use hole saw (size ranges from 1/2" ~ 4"), either for concrete or woods.you dont have to use the hammer function when you are using the hole saw bit.

IMHO, the regular hole saw will quickly dull in concrete. There are however, hole saws specifically for concrete and tile. I've seen these branded Ruby at Wilcon, but they are way expensive.

My suggestion is to use a regular hammer drill with a masonry bit. Drill several holes near the edge of the expected hole. Then use a regular cold chisel to tie the holes together. Repairing a too large hole will not be too difficult with some cement.

Just ask for a concrete hole saw. The store peole are sure to know what it is. It looks like a metal cup with teeth along the rim and no handle.

As 2diy4 said those things are EXPENSIVE.

how much is expensive? so the hole saw are also used with the drill? tama ba? anyway, the local hadware will lend me his big drill, so problem solve..thanks everybody

not wanting to waste forum space, does anybody know where i could rent a MIG or TIG welder? preferably MIG since its usually smaller, i need this to weld some aluminum stuff for my car.
