I need to remove the drain plug of my car's gas tank. Has anybody seen a wrench attachment or a screw driver for this type of head? Went to ACE SM City Marikina a while ago, wala.

Re: Robertson wrench/screw driver

Is the square part of the plug "lubog" or "angat"?

If "angat" you can use an adjustable wrench.

If NOT, you can try using the rachet of a socket wrench without the socket wrench itself.

If a 1/2" rachet doesnt fit, get and adaptor/reducer that will fit the drain plug.

If I remember it right, I used a 1/2" to 1/4" adaptor to remove the drain plug.

It looks something like this although of different size. Ace surely have this.

Maraming salamat! You're right about the 1/2" inch ratchet -- it does not fit. Will be looking for the 1/2" to 1/4" adaptor. Didn't know that such a thing existed. Hehe.

Re: wrench attachment for gas tank drain plug

Update: I found a Buffalo 2-piece ratchet drive reducer set for P129.75. One is 1/2" to 3/8" and the other is 3/8" to 1/4". The 3/8" did the trick for me. It will fit the gas tank drain plug of a "lovelife" Corolla (98-01) and most probably the "wide body" as well.
